I asked this guy who works at snowbird in the park, and he told me that they are only going to have 3 parks this year with smaller features

haven't heard anything about this.. but i'll assume its not true

or i will cry myself into a pit of depression if its true

whatever. That's what they have anyway. The park crew are too much of douchebags to take 15 minutes out of their day to maintain the Payday park, so they're not even going to put in the effort this year. Pc just keeps getting suckier and suckier.

let's see, this is from snowbird not park city, we always have had 3 parks so no change there, and there has been nothing but how the park is growing this year from mike (adrenaline)

so i'm giving this a solid no

In the park city cult there was a mention of something like this. But I have a feeling that if this happens, pc will instantly invest in park passes to save them from paying billion dollars for insurance.

not that big. It's expensive to maintain a huge and great park, and most of the people who go to PC go for the regular slopes and to have a good time at a nice resort.

The Payday park will be up this year. I said in my blog and in forums from last season that we took payday out because there wasn't enough snow coverage on that run. it's a difficult run to keep snow on. This year they have put in fan guns up until the drift road, so there will be enough snow on the middle part of the run. As the year progresses, if we lose snow in the middle of that run it is as easy as clicking the mouse button to turn those fan guns on so there may be a day here and there where they blow a large amount of snow overnight and we will have to take the rails out so they don't get buried. But that isn't a concern for me right now, I believe it will be just fine once we get that run up and running for the season. As for cutting down the size of the parks, I haven't heard anything come up mentioning that. I haven't heard anything mentioning taking out parks. We invest a good amount of money in the park grooming here and it's not going to change. So whoever you talked to at "the bird" needs to stop making shit up. Talk to me first if you want to start rumors like so and so from another resort said...

And Steve at The Canyons knows his shit. You'll see a good product for the little the canyons invests in the park system over there for the time being.

And park passes, yes I have started work on that whole beast but it won't be implemented until I know it is a product that works for you the guest, for us and is something that makes the insurance company happy.
