im getting a minidisc and the 2 models im looking at are a sharp one and the sony 707 net md. is net md that much better? because the sharp player doesnt have it.

I've got the Sony 505 Net MD and I would like to be the first to say that it is VERY worth it!

I got a Sharp one. I was deciding between the two. I ended up going with Sharp because I don't mind tkaing the time to record. Also, the SHarps have a more defined and useful interface. But I guess the NetMD is super practical and fast. like i guess ou can get shitload of music on a disc. It's all personal preference tho.

how are sonys for live recording? the sharp one i looked at is supposedly really good for recording.

The Sharp ones beat SONY on live because the Sharps are completely sound level adjustable, andI guess the Sony's aren't.

ya the SOny ones are the best.. they have the MDLP so you can compress your mMP3's and put up to 5.5 hours of music on one disc. I have the 505 (the onyl difference between it and the others is that it doesnt come with remote headphones).. it is the best purchase Ive eer made. Take all the music that you download eith you everywhere. Its better than an MP3 because you dont have to keep recording everytime you want new music.. you can have as many discs as you want. I have nothing bad to say about this product. It has never skipped.. it has 55 hours of battery life.. it is really small and convenient and it hasnt broken or anyhting even though i have dropped it.. fallen on it etc.

i just got the netmd mz-S1, which is the sport model! It is great, super tough ( been dropped) water proof, records quick, is unbelievable on batteries, havenb't had to change one battery yet, after a a round flight to Vancouver from Toronto, 7 nights of listening while I sleep and countless hours more of listening! Totally recommend it!
