i still have both but i would definitely say that once facebook extended its usage rules to allow non-college students use it myspace lost a lot of popularity. which you might think is weird because you can customize your myspace profile to a degree where you can't with facebook....but maybe that just appeals to highschool kids and younger.
i don't know but i think myspace isn't dead or dying.....just not what it once was popularity wise.
its dead
myspace tried to become more like fb with things like statuses and albums, but it just has so many fundamental differences. I hated that you could put in your own css and backgrounds and stuff. It was really cool on like band pages where people put work into it, but on most pages, it was just annoying
Myspace was never alive...atleast to me/my area. It never caught on in BC, I always looked at it as really american. But yeah, facebook is basically dominating everything, nex, myspace and all those things are getting taken over by it.
i use myspace for music: tour dates, new album releases, etc. EVERYONE has a music myspace, it helps tremendously for finding out when and where they're playing.
Dude, you got nothing to worry out. My geek hacking skills are minimal at best. I am no Mark Zukerberg. I was just curious if it made any sense to make a facebook profile for SMM and see if I could tap into another source of ski movie fanatics who could help fill in the blanks on the website and get more good soundtracks online.... Thats all for now... well until i learn how to really write code....
So anyone wanna "friend" SMM on facebook?
myspace and facebook really fluctuate by area...like hte guy stated above about cali and myspace my cousin lives out there shes 25 and she says all her friends in LA use myspace...at college all the people from flordia say myspace is the thing to use down there...but up in MN it seems to be facebook
but i don't believe myspace will die its so popular with bands and younger/highschool kids
if you really look at it facebook is meant for college people and higher...that was zuckerbergs main plan was to make a more mature networking site for college students and adults....and right now the fastest growing age group on facebook is like 30+ so its really hitting the adults too they love staying in contact...i have alot of friends whose parents have facebook and i have them as my friends its cool!
i dislike facebook. i have one. but myspace is easier to me, i barley go on it though. its turning into facebook has alot of the same features idk i just dislike both ..
myspace got a bad rep with all the stalker crap and whatnot. Facebook got popular because it was considered 'safe' because you had to be invited to join at first I think, and also because you have to add people in order to see their walls. Also its just run better. I had a myspace for like a half a year and then I went to facebook
