But for reals I like Ratatat and I've been a HORSE fan for years. On my profile theres a picture of me outside a HORSE the band show when I'm like 14. MGMT sucks. Thing chick I'm banging was talking about Minus the Bear the other day, she ditched going to their show last night to fuck me instead so they can't be that good.
 
You're the one who said there was no good mainstream, not me. And I meant Band of Horses. HORSE the Band haven't been good for like 5 years. Cutsman was very short lived.

And I really don't think I'll ever understand people that hate Drake. People whine and moan about artists these days having superficial bland lyrics and when a talented young kid come along they turn on him just because bitches like him. He's an actor, get over it.

Oh, band of horses sucks. I agree that HORSE the band isn't very good and its mostly just fun to yell CUT! CUT! CUT! CUT! at their shows haha. I think people hate Drank mostly because he's awful. I mean, I don't even hate him. I think its hilarious that the wheelchair kid from Degrassi all the sudden thinks he has street cred and shit. Kid doesn't know about the streets. Kid doesn't know about shit, he grew up on a TV set. No perspective. His music is both fake and whack as shit. He's a complete joke. Bitches like him? Really? I'm 21 guy. And if you think that Drake is better than Nas, Immortal Technique, or Non Phixion, then I'm glad you think I have bad taste in music.
 
Never said Drake even comes closet to Nas. But anyone who can only come up with Nas, Immortal Technique, and some nobody hardcore rap group as their go-to listens clearly aren't up with their shit.

*disclaimer: I love Illmatic more than any rap album ever.

Immortal Technique's last album was incredible. He is not only continuing to make excellent hip hop but his style is evolving and becoming something different without getting lame as fuck like most people do when they try to change their style. He also has political messages and some of the most meaningful lyrics in the game. Non Phixion - The Future is now is one of the greatest hip hop albums ever made. You can argue that you don't like Ill Bill's solo stuff (even though its dope as fuck), and you can argue that you don't like Necro's solo stuff (because that shit is whack), but Non Phixion were a powerhouse and they don't even make hip hop like that anymore. It is up there with Illmatic and Ready to Die as one of hip hop's all time classic albums.

There's literally no point point arguing with you. And remember when your argument why Drake wasn't good was that he was wheelchair Jimmy? Looks an awful lot like an ad hominem attack to me.
 
No, Drake's music isn't good because he has bad lyrics, bad flow, and cookie cutter production. Its funny because he's wheelchair Jimmy. He's like Hannah Montana or Jonas Brothers or anyone else that gets famous through a kids tv show. His music just doesn't mean shit.
I'm going to go cry in a corner now because I live in a world where people think Drake is better than Immortal Technique. It just doesn't make sense. Have you ever listened to Immortal Technique? Like seriously I don't understand its just mind blowing.
 
Chill out man, it's all subjective. You can't expect everyone from a 14 year old teenage girl to a 65 year old to like the same shit you do. Ok, from your perspective Immortal Technique might be the best rapper alive, but from someone else's point of view it might be just noise.

So what if people think Drake's better than Immortal Technique; some people in the world might think all black people should be dead; that America should be nuked to pieces, that Immortal Technique is the shittiest rapper alive. It doesn't mean that EVERYONE does, and I'm sure someone out there will agree with what you're saying.

We don't live in a "black and white" world, there's no clear factors that make something clearly good or bad. Open up your mind a little, learn to enjoy everything even if it isn't something you're not necessarily used to or like to do. Find the silver lining in that particular thing, whether it's the melody, the beat, the background vocals, or even making fun of it. You're not gonna go anywhere just complaining all the time.
 
Yes dude, I thought Revolutionary Vol. 2 was the tightest shit ever when I was 17. I have like 8 different albums and mixtapes from him. I used to bump the hell out of Obnoxious in my car. But he's fucking depressing as shit. He tells stories in his music that's cool. But how can you listen to his stuff over and over?

I'm 20 goddam years old and go to school. At this point in my life I'm struggling to make extra cash, get laid, and have a good time and meet people. Drake pretty much says that through his music. It's fun, but at the same time has an emotional, vulnerable side that most people don't see. You can really tell what kind of person Drake is through his music, I think that's really nice. It's the same reason why Kid Cudi is my most played right now. His music is fun. He portrays a lifestyle that I play a part in and can relate to.

What the fuck can you relate to in Immortal Technique's music? Are you an impoverished, downtrodden latino?
