IS LINE BETTER THEN ARMADA?

hey i have been thinking about getting a new pair of skis and im deciding between line invaders or armada skis please tell me what to do. thank you

well you see what are you going to be doing with these skis? if all you do is jib and such invaders will be great for you. however if you do anything else get a pair of ar6s theyre a sick ski. so all in all get a pair of ar6s

personally, i like armada better. however, my friend has a pair of old chronics and he's had no issues with them. i haven't heard much about the new invaders yet tho.

line has had some issues with delam but armada has had topsheet issues. both are good companies. i would recommend armada. but if your short for cash you cant go wrong with line.

well im doing freestyle team this year and i would be doing park the whole time and if i went with armada for park would i get the t halls or the pipe cleaners

if your going with aramada i would get ar6 or t-halls. ar6s, ive heard are a really good all around ski and they felt really light when i picked them up.

well my friend has a pair of invaders and he loves them but also invader is the only ski the is totally simetrical and the 07's are dirt ass cheap for $200

lines skis have gotten considerably better over the years. armada has always been on top of their game tho. you can find last years ar6s for cheap. but if you want real cheap just get last years invaders. superrrrrrrrrrrrrr fun ski.

threads like this are so pointless. its all about preference. ski on both companies skis and decide for yourself. asking people on the internet shouldn't answer your question. this only creates arguing and bad talk for the companies. there is no "best."

If you want a cheap park only ski that you need for one season and that you would be comfortable considering disposable if anything happened, get Invaders.

All depends on what you are looking out of the ski though.

I've owned 3 pairs of Line skis (orange 1260s, green Skogens with yellow bomb bases, and last years invaders) and have had good experiences with all 3 of them.

all depends on what youre gonna be doing. park and pipe id go with invaders but if you mix in more all mountain id go with armadas. preferably ar6s.

07/08 invaders should be a great choice since they just added line's carbon ollie band which will give them alot more pop. invaders are a freakin awesom jib ski, just get last year's or this years and u wont have any delam problems

if you want a great ski at a great price...perfect for any conditions and anywhere on the mountain go with Scott P3's...its a brand not many ride or know much about but the shit is so sick. you will never go back.

the 07/08 invader is built with the ollieband so contrary to the old invader (which was really soft and noodly with not so much pop) the new invader is still be soft but has pop and snap to it. I think its a great ski for someone getting into park skiing. Its cheap, forgiving, and allows you to work on skiing switch and forward the same. Its also very light. If you something a little more solid and better for the entire mountain, get the anthem. If you really wanna focus on hitting the park hard (halfpipe, big jumps....) and rip the mountain, the new chronic is a great choice. The best thing about line is that they have a ski for anything you want to do.

The Chronic is the perfect park ski as far as I am concerned. Tons of pop, a fairly stiff flex for support on landings either forward or backward, very durable, light, it doesn't get a whole lot better.

ive owned 2 pairs of armadas and 3 pairs of lines. i am ordering my 4th pair of lines this fall. i cant complain about any of them, but i have liked my lines better and will be getting another pair in the fall

I'm in the same situation except I can't decide on the chronics or the ar6's (both 08). I mainly ski park but every once in a while like to hit up the rest of the mt.

ok here is ho wyou decide.

put a line tshirt on one pretty lady of the evening, then an armada shirt on an equaly pretty but possibly more of a stripper type lady.

have them jello wrastle it out, and the winner is the ski you buy.

It may be pricey, but it will be worth it.

ok so last season i got the 07 line chronic's and i didnt have them center mounted i think i had them set back and inch or two because it was my first year riding park and then this year im joining freestyle team and i was thinking of getting the 07 invaders or armada's  center mounted with look px12 jib bindings

From what i hear the bases on the pipe cleaner dont hold up well on rails. but if your riding a shit load of pipe its deffinelty worth the sacrafice. but if a little amount of pipe then the AR6. But ar6 can perform in the pipe fairly well.

Invaders are a great jib ski - really fun. I have the 06-07 and it has held up really well - the bases and edges are really tough. I like a soft ski like the invader, but my brother likes a stiffer ride and rocks the chronics - which are also sick and bomber tough.

you spelt atomic wrong

its "a" "t" "o" "m" "i" "c"

not "l" "i" "n" "e"

and both companies offer a do everything ski

I'd say you can't go wrong with either. Both companies are really offering a great product these days. I guess if you want more of a traditional park/all mtn ride I would go with an Armada of some sort. If you absolutely need to have a symetrical true twin Line is your company with the anthem and Invader. But then there is always the Chronics and blends...

I'm thinking the only major decision is whether you prefer the ride of a cap or sandwhich construction ski. They definitely ride differently. Maybe try to demo or borrow a friends.

In my experience, I have loved all of my Armadas. They are obviously great park skis, but can take pretty much anything else on the mtn. I have only ridden Lines briefly. They were this years Invader, I couldn't believe how soft, light and jibable they were. Definitely a fun ski but I could tell I would have overwhelmed them out of the park.

yea I think pipe cleaners have a race base on them.

I haven't had any experience with line or armada, but just to put it out thre, the scratch fs wrs is a really fun do anything ski.

Both will make a ski that will do exactly what you need it to. Both companies' skis are high quality and you won't regret your purchase. The Ar6 is a basically untouchable all-purpose twin. The Prophet 100 is the only (large-scale-production) twin that might actually be better all-around all-mountain than the Seth. You really can't lose here.

Crieghton could break a steel pole.

He's flat out destroyed every single ski he has EVER owned.

i've had lots of trouble with Lines delaming(invader and prophet), but i like the way they ride, so hopefully the can get this under control.

not really, totally depends on what you throw at them... or any ski for that matter. go for last year's or this year's invaders, i'm sure you'll love them

Nah dude, if you take care of your shit, it should take care of you. I have been skiing my whole life and have never destroyed a ski enough in one season to render it unrideable except for multiple binding pullouts and coreshots, but that is a different situation. I think most people here are talking about edges and delam. So, if your ski starts to delam contact the company or the rep or whoever you bought it from immediately, and get new skis. If your edges fall out and shit, well, you ride to much park or treat your gear like crap, and in this case you probably don't even need edges that badly. Armada and Line make really really good skis, if they are defective they will take care of you, stop worrying so damn much...
