You know I am so fucking sick and tired of kids saying someone or something sold out. Like seriously yeah LINE got bought by K2...but its still going to be LINE just with a lot more K2 money behind them to make it easier for them. And when kids bitch about bands selling out that really gets to me.

For example...ATMOSPHERE. I have been listening to them for about 6-7 years now. They are just hitting it big with things like MTV and the AND 1 commercial. The only way that you can qualify someone or something as a sellout is if they changed the way they did things to make more money or be more popular. With Atmosphere that is not the case at all, they still have the sickest lyrics and best beats. So if you think atmosphere sold out just listen to Lucy Ford and then listen to You cant imagine how much fun we are having. They are still the same as the have always been.

And with LINE come on now!!! They didnt fucking sell out you fucking piece of shit. They got recognized as one of(if not the) best freestyle ski company and K2 wants a piece of that. If anything K2 sold out to be in the freestyle business. Line just sat there and K2 told them hey we will pay you a lot of money to buy you but you can continue to due everything you are doing, everything you have wanted to do....AND WE WILL PAY FOR IT.

I bet it wasnt a hard decision for LINE.
 
The definition of selling out is to get purchased by another company isn't it? So obviously Line sold out. Is selling out a bad thing in this case? Only time will tell.
 
How can all you little fucks call out line? they were making twintips when you were taking snowboards lessons 10 years ago...some of you fucks were at tee-ball practice when the revolutionized freeskiing to become the first ski company 100% devoted to "newschool" skiing. Line has given everything they have to support skiing and i dont think that will change.
 
line has obviously been in a very tight spot since they invested all that money in the reactor; dropping nearly their whole team, making shitty cheap skis so they can mass produce for garts sports and shit, and now this...props to them for going out on a limb and trying to bring innovation to the industry with the binding...too bad it sucks, maybe with k2's stacks of cash they can work it out with the reactor....
 
No man, selling out is basically selling your values and beliefs because it'll earn you more coin.

And discussing how to label a company is fucking bullshit anyways, and we shouldn't think we're elite enough to do something like that.
 
let me handle this, casue i obviously understand whats going down in the industry, after all, ive been a prat of this website for like 1 year, i think it qualifies me as being really down with all the companies and VIP's.

i dont know if i like this either, but i am very eager to see what line can do with some actual financial resources, which im sure were much more needed now than ever due to the massive amount of warranties they had this year due to the chineese fuckin up the invader.i do like K2, but it is a mainstream huge company that is buying one of the main core companies and thats the only real aspect i dont like. im sure lines products will be amzaing in the next few years due to how good they are already with their low budget. with all that extra money to resaerch and make new products there shit will contunally get doper. hey mabey theyll even be able to have a strong team now and afford to pay them. lines gonna blow up now but im still kinda skeptical. i hope k2 dosent heavily influnce what they are doing now. i would rather them just fund and not have any influence but at least we know now that they wont have any shitty productions of skis now.

Who cares about line, fucking karhu sold its soul to the DEVIL! Where will hundreds of nordic athletes and recreational alpine skiers turn to when they want proficient turning capability and race technology?! This is just too upsetting, how could karhu do this?!

Oh yeah I forgot about that time I went to go see Atmosphere at a gay club. Shit they are gay I better not like them anymore otherwise you wont approve. line will never sell out. you have to understand the different between efficient/economical and johny moseley. line will be able to progress more as a company now with most likely a higher profit. with k2 theyll have a more efficient supply chain which is key to cutting costs and getting products to the consumer as quick and accurately to the demand as possible
 
until i see any of you kids run a succesful company you can't talk shit, and by successful, i don't mean these weak ass 'clothing companies' that sell about 10 t shirts a year.

Atmosphere is sick. Please learn to appreciate a talented group with influential beats, lyrics and ideas. Remember kid's Hip Hop is about self expression and nonconventional thinking. Dont expect true Hip Hop to be Rap. Its all about the 4 elements DJing, MCing, Breaking & Graffitti art. And no, Line has not sold out.

now they can go back to their real passion and make more snow blades! really they should just quit on the ski thing, concentrate on their blades. maybe make them more like tirolean fieglers, those things rock, and they could incorperate their dumb binding in it also.
