jiberish ditches pro's page. do they even sponsor skiers now or is it just for people who wear tight leather joggers Chug must be rolling in his grave
 
Jiberish has left skiing in its past. They still have some cool clothes, but skiing is not that big to them.
 
sucks to see a company that gave wallisch edollo and so many others early sponsorship, and influenced ski culture so much, distance itself from the sport. the money is in street wear though so props to them for getting some
 
I guess i never really put 2 and 2 together that they're basically not associated with skiing anymore. weird, but makes sense

Went to their store in Denver two years ago and I felt completely out of place. If the sign out front didn't say jiberish, I wouldn't have thought they had anything to do with skiing at all.
 
Most of their sponsors are musicians now, whereas they used to be just skiers. If you think about it though, they've always been a CLOTHING company, not just a ski outerwear company.

IMO they still make dope, simple hoodies that are high quality and as far as I know, that's what most skiers want from them anyway. I still fully support them and buy their other shit because it's nice and stylish...I'm not complaining.
 
I feel like Jiberish is just trying to grow up and become more like a premium fashion brand. I dont see anything skiing related either.
 
This sucks. The only reason I loved them so much was because they were an exclusive ski brand for the most part. I've said it once and I'll say it again, people in Park City talk so much shit about the kid with the wiener dog that works there being a douche, which he is. Another reason I won't go back or purchase their stuff anymore is because of him. I think his name is Gooch or something.
 
An interesting thread would be "who is the next Jiberish?"

Who is focusing on clothing made just for skiers/boarders and are of the best quality?
 
their still in skiing, there one and only promo vid for the up and coming line and half it with skiers....
 
i completely agree there growing up and becoming more of what seems like a high end clothing company selling all those weird fancy fabric shirts and stuff.
 
The sizes go up to 4xl still and you don't see that with other "streetwear" brands like Supreme or 10Deep and stuff like that. To me that means they still have skiing and skiers in mind. The hoodies are still real warm and good quality. To those complaining about pricing, its never been cheap so I don't think much has changed there. You pay a premium for a hoodie that will hold up to skiing a little better and last longer in general.

In my opinion the moves jiberish are making are smart from a business point of view and a style point of view. The niche market of skiing is an extremely hard one to build a business around as a clothing brand without technical outerwear. Moving into streetwear allowed them to expand and help solidify their spot in the retail world. With their upcoming outerwear line I am excited to see how it is received in both the skiing and streetwear market. Plus-let's be honest- those new corduroy pull overs look amazing.
 
It sucks because they've posted numerous times that they aren't leaving skiing behind because it's part of their roots and shit but it damn well looks like they've moved on for the most part.
 
Not lame they're still a dope brand and they released that walk in the park like 3 months ago so obviously they haven't left the skiing

This, even their shirts too.

I usually say something to anyone I randomly see out in Denver wearing Jiberish...and 9 times out of 10, they are a skier or snowboarder.
 
Jiberish is better than ever now IMO. Long gone is the era of garish, oversized sweatshirts. They're clothing is certainly less affordable than it used to be but the price/quality ratio is unbeatable in the industry and I think that's a big part of why they've been so successful lately.

don't know if anyone mentioned this yet but their product preview video they made was nearly entirely centered around skiing and snowboarding? sure, there were plenty of city life shots but still, i think they're just trying to create a new style of their own in skiing and snowboarding by bringing street wear into the snow/ski industry through classy clothing. personally i think it's pretty dope.
 
Go look on their Instagram. They have recently promoted sigs, Clayton's, and j norms video. They have not left skiing behind their style has just changed
 
I bought a Lohi Fine Men's Clothiers hoodie last season, and then saw Delorme and Wallisch wearing the same one a couple weeks later in different, recent edits. Jiberish is still hooking up rad skiers with sick stuff, but there's still a lot more money outside of skiing, so props to those guys for going for it. Not to mention, the quality of that hoodie is damn impressive. The ribbing is stylish and and hasn't lost any elasticity, and the hoodie is in great shape. Worth $100? If it lasts another two seasons, most definitely.
 
+1 to everyone bringing up the product video. It is pretty clear they haven't left skiing.

Also guys, you have to consider that they are running a business. If they were making the same stuff they were 5 years ago no one would be buying it. Whether or not we like it fashion trends are constantly changing and a clothing company that wants to be successful has to stay on the cutting edge or else they will become obsolete.

TLDR: Clothing styles constantly change and clothing companies that want to be successful have to change with the trends.

Just take a look at Saga. If someone told me 5 or 6 years ago that they would be making slim/fitted outerwear I wouldn't have believed them.
 
So they're about to drop their first ever technical outwear line, something that kids on NS have been asking for for years now. It's not gonna be your run of the mill outerwear, but that's right on par with how Jiberish has always been doing things and it's worked so far. Got a feeling it's gonna be a great winter for them. Hell naw dude, I've talked to Pete and I've never met anyone so invested in the sport. Snowsports are in their blood. Hold tight for a bit and your answers will come. ;)

Jibberish may not be a solely skiing brand anymore, but who cares. Like any company they have to evolve to remain fresh.

They're still awesome though, during one of their sales when hoodies were 25$ their system screwed up and said I ordered two hoodies when in my checkout there was only one. They quickly corrected the order once i emailed them, and then they sent me the two hoodies anyway. Couldn't be a happier customer!
 
i just wanna know how the fuck jiberish is making a shirt with chief keefs face and name on it and they think that its appropriate/not infringing on his personal brand
