is it worth it?

Is it worth the extra weight to get Look bindings instead of Salomon bindings? The Look P10 Ti bindings weigh 1.3 pounds more than the Salomon 912ti, is this a big deal?

Is it worth it to save that weight and have your bindings break, and look like something off a bad sci-fi movie set?Get the looks

Yup, 1.3 pounds. The 912ti's weigh 990 grams per binding, the P10 Ti's weigh 1300 grams each, so if you double those numbers (for a pair of bindings) and do some conversions (thank god for my TI-86 calculator) you get 22 ounces, aka 1.3 pounds.

Don't get the 912Ti bindings. They are shit. The 914 bindings are nice though, I have those. Heavier bindings won't really matter that much- go with what's going to work better for your style of riding.

My AFD broke off my Rossi Axials, and now my skis are out of commission for 1-2 weeks while Rossi ships the missing parts. It's really pissing me off since I'm broke and don't have any money to get rentals in the meantime.

Anyhow, I still prefer the Rossi/Look turntables over the Salomons.

yeah the turntable's def worth it

'you should probably get bindings or it will be hard to stay on your skis...don't get gloves tho, gloves are out. just use a cigarette to keep your hands warm' -221

Look bindings are quality, plus its not like you'd actually notice 1.3 pounds...

salomon bindings are the shit! Lower to the ski and light, if weight didnt matter they would make skis out of concrete

skiing is the best sport around!^

I have the 912s, not the ti's, and haven't had any problems for the past two seasons. They seem like good bindings, and you don't get violated every time you land backseat. In theory titanium is lighter and stronger so the tis would be even better bindings than the ones I have.

Ski_line900, just becuase the binding is lower to the ski doesn't mean that it's better. Risers allow for better carving- I've got small risers on my 914s, and they make a world of difference.

i don't know about everyone else but i have never had any problems with a salomon binding and i have always had them, as long as i can remember. A pound seems like a lot. personally i would go with the 912ti's

Always remember. . .Pray for snow

ok...all you gotta do is not eat before you go skiing and voila, you will be atleast 1.3 lbs lighter. so get the looks

i have look p12 jib bindings and the 912ti. the salomons broke but there is a really good waranty on them. you wont really notice the weight difference when you are skiing on them so you should just go with whatever one you like more

The weight won't matter much since it is in the middle of the skies which doesn't effect swing weight as much. As far as the bindings go I don't know why everyone on here likes rossi' and look so much. I've seen two people break their toe pieces on rossi bindings. Also Salomon stay good for a really long time. They always test out perfect no matter how old they are. That is the most imporatant thing about a binging.

I had the same pair of 910 Ti's on my race skis for two years, and on my jib skis for two more, and they are still functioning perfectly, and the only damage at all on them is only cosmetic. Also, they look really cool (ps, if anyone wants to buy these bindings, gimme a shout)
