Is it worth it to go to Trollhaugen?

Never been there but its the only place open as I far as I know in the midwest. Currently in Chicago. tow rope, a lift, and two trails open.

I heard northern Minnesota got a lot of snow dropped on them. Would be surprised if spirt or lutsen wasn't open.

Tis true, nothing open as of yet, it doesn't mean a whole lot in terms of opening though. Spirit should open this week/weekend, but its a lot further than Trollhaugen.

Trollhaugen opening was today, it was really fun as always. Still a preseason park, had 12 features and was fun. They should open the main park sometime this week. It would be a 7hr? drive. I a friend of mine drive from Lake Geneva for the weekend so I guess it was worth it

Thanks compadre.

If you dont mind snowboarders its a blast vibes always fun and were blowing a shit ton of snow. Wild mtn and buck hill are open to.

Troll is the shit! Lutsen is free for skiing on black friday so that could also be a move, but for park and just overall vibes troll is the only way to go.

Lutsen hopes to have up to 15 runs open on three mountains on friday, free lift tickets too on black friday

Update: preseason edit up on the bunny hill until Wednesday with a fresh set everyday. They should have main park open Friday or Saturday, no official day yet

its chill that Midwest rippers are finally skiing but holy shit does it make me salty that there is a ski hill in the Midwest that has opened before Utah resorts have. What the fuck.

Wild mountain and troll are often neck and neck with abasin and loveland for first to open in the country.

Our opening is the size of your backyard. We make it more fun than regular season tho. Midwest skiing is literally 50% hot laps and 50% smoking

oh fo sho, i grew up on tow rope laps in michigan. Definitely feel you.

Drive up there for a weekend and sleep in your car. I never make the three hour drive to troll unless I'm staying there for awhile.

I love Trollhaugen and I would highly recommend it if you think the drive is worth it. It has amazing rails and everybody there is super chill. Wild Mountain is also open now for about week and it's fun but not as good as Trollhaugen. I would recommend following both of there instagrams @trollhaugentroll and @skiwildmtn to get updates.

I'll probably go there over winter break for the sake of a ski expedition. I have to work over thanksgiving so I can go on a ski trip with my fraternity. ~$580 +- $40 per per person for 4 days of skiing, and ski in ski out lodging at Winter Park Colorado. However I like skiing in small time Midwest hills for the charm so I will definitely try going out to troll. Side note Michigan is great for Midwest skiing because lake effect snow keeps it fresh all winter.

It's always worth it no matter what time of the season. They had nine rails set up in their park opening morning compared to wild mountains 5 boxes and culverts. I wouldn't be surprised if by next weekend they have Valhalla fully stacked with rails. This Friday is the first late night Friday which are always a blast. If you come up here hmu
