I got the old original iPod. The one with the swivle center, not the touch one. I still have it and it works awesome. I've had it for a year and a half? Supposedly the new iPod has a wicked shitty battery life.

i have a new one, a touch center, and it conked after like 7 months. i'm really pissed. maybe mine was just a fluke tho

battery life is junk. Which is a good reason why you should get an extended warranty on it.

I was looking into getting a 20gb nomad zen, a few of the reasons being because the battery is removable, and last over 12 hours without recharging, way cheaper, and slightly better sound.

But I decided to order the 10gb ipod. It doesn't look like the zen has good shock protection and isn't reccomended for jogging. The main reason I want an mp3 player is for skiing. The last mp3 player I had was an archos and that thing was sweet, but it shut off every time I go off a jump.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

 
how do you get an extended warranty? do you pay for it? how much? i just got a 10 gig for x mas.

i got mine from best buy with a four year warrenty so im set. get it from bb and itll be covered so instead of paying 250 for new batt you just pay 50 for a brand new one.

i have the original for about more than a year and i love it, great sound its all scratched but still works like a charm, fuckin beast great battery life, around a cd player for like 8 for me, but who listens to a continuous ipod for a8 hrs,, u just charge it at night, get a car adapter, and shit and i got itrip plays anything wirelessly off of radio, get the old ipod people think u gangsta if u got one!

Yeah the new ones supposedly have lower battery life than the old ones, but still either pay the $15 for 4 year replacement at BestBuy or wherever, or just buy one of those kits from the net and replace the battery yourself when it eventually dies.

yea those are nice.....well the warranty is like $40 and they fix/replace ur thing...and if they cant, u get credit to buy a brand new one. my old minidisc broke and i hd the warantee, and they just let me get a new one

battery is still working perfect, only thing is my spin dial is getting a little sensitive.
