Is it normal to spin differant ways on rails and jumps

So I would consider myself a beginner park skier and I just recently learned rails. My mountain has only a couple features on it so it’s hard to get good at something quick. Anyways, I was practicing 90’s on a box and decided to take it to the rail so I did but it felt really weird when I was doing the rails and boxes. I realized that I was spinning to the right to get onto them. I have never spun right before when doing 360s and 180s. I don’t know why but it feels natural to spin right on rails and left on jumps for me. Was just wondering if this was normal or if I’m doing something wrong.

I don't think your doing anything wrong, most people i know spin onto rails and spin on jumps the same way, but I know a few people who do it opposite like you. Really it just matters if you have good form when sliding the boxes and rails, which way you get onto a box or rail doesn't matter as much. Just keep doing what you need to progress and have fun!

sliding a rail is like riding a skateboard, I know a couple of people who spin left but slide left foot forward. I even know a couple people who skate regs but grind skis goofy. everyone has different preferences just see what feels right

Skating I’m left foot forward and for rails I go opposite which isn’t quite what you have going on but I just think it’s whatever is comfortable

first off G, its differEnt . next is to ski and do what ever you want to do on that rail . visualize it and play it out in your mind once or twice than fuckin give "er
