Is it just me or

Is sliding rails the most addicting thing ever?

I finally got comfortable sliding rails during my last trip to Carinthia, and now it is all I can think about. I used to think skiing in general was addicting but wow

Not boxes, not tubes, big boy metal rails. Also, learned F2. Got one good lip on. Progressed more in 6 hours than I had in months of skiing. FYI, learning park at 25 years old is NOT the move

I don't wanna see another groomer for the rest of my life, I only want to slide rails

ur not the only one after i was landing f2 consistently it was the only thing I could think about in class for like 2 weeks straight. Sometimes I just lay my head down and just think about tricks all class

it's great. Just thinking about the new learns and new rails. Maybe walk past one by the house and think next snow it's on!

i like the sound too

Agreed. Was talking with a homie today that riding the tow at the bowl (skibowl) is what keeps me afloat with the 9-5 grind. Keep gettin it, soldier!

Absolutely. Capping a rail from top to bottom without second guessing yourself is one of the best feelings in all of skiing… right next to taking your boots off after a long day ?

I sometimes wonder how much worse of a student I would've been in high school if my imaginative mind knew what a good lip blind 2 or blunt 540 felt like

Sick you’re getting into regardless!! Just don’t blow out your knees multiple times haha I did my second at 28 ten years after my first and it was not that chill tbh

Super stoked that you found your calling! Theres just something pleasurable about dancing on a rail with skis.

Rails terrify me. They always have. I ended up getting good at them because of local rail jam comps.

I hope you sign up to a rail jam. These events are fun. Its even more fun when you love the rail game!

I started skiing park at 23 so I feel you being older stinks but progression is the best feeling in the world. Rails are a blast so much you can do on them, glad we got another one

Im 24 and in my 8th real season of park and this doesnt go away. I was thinking earlier this season just how nice it is to be able to pull up to a park and cruise comfortably on everything and then go into the bag and start throwing tricks. Just feels so good, especially if the park is well built for top to bottom runs

much worse. academics become aggressively secondary to rails

I was on the lift with an older couple recently. They asked me what it is that I enjoy about hitting rails. Hadn't really thought about it before.

Told them that I just love the challenge of balancing it out. Greasing a rail will never get old to me. I mostly stick to kfeds and the only-trick nowadays, but even just sliding rails brings me as much joy now as it did when I learned 10+ years ago.

Hell yeah doggy! On the lift right now between park laps. I’ve been hitting rails for 22 years and it NEVER gets old. Also, less scary to learn new tricks on rails than jumps. Sooo many combos to unlock. Get it good!!
