Is it bad to use youth skis?

My skis (rossi s5 178) broke because a shop mounted them improperly. They replaced them, but with 180cm Rossi s7 youth skis. I am fully grown at 5'10 and 175 pounds, is there anything bad about me riding the skis? Should i just expect some extra flex?

my thought exactly. i dont think those are youth skis

my other thought... they fucked up your s5's so they gave you s7's? they are completely different skis

1. Those are not youth skis.

2. If they gave you a different pair and you want a pair of S5's, you go demand it.

However, judging from the fact that you think 180cm is the length of a youth ski, you probably won't notice a huge difference between the s5 and s7.

Was it an 180cm s3? you may have thought it was a youth s7. they should replace your s5's, if not contact rossignol to talk to store manager, a rep should know him if the store carry's rossi products.

The skill level is 4/5 so 8/10 so i would consider them more of a advanced ski over intermediate. taking into consideration 10/10 is pro. Beginner ski and junior ski are totally different things.

In the description for the ski it list it as a ski for up and commers and future charges. So really it is a ski for a beginner in pow / freeride, not a ski for a complete beginner.

OP it sounds like the shop messed up and replaced your S5s with a completely different ski. i'd be pretty p*ssed if I were you. Just to confirm I believe the Smash7 is what they've replaced you S5s with. It's not a youth ski,it's kinda of an intermediates skiers all mountain compromise ski.

Those are S7 Limiteds, which are very different to S7s. They might be good for you, they might not.
