Is it bad to bend breaks twice

Im about to get my 08 invaders mounted with my new 2007 rossignol fks 120's, the brakes are going to have to be bent for them to fit. Im probably getting new ski's this season which might be fatter, im wondering if its bad if the breaks would have to be re-bent to fit my new ones.

well you should be able to fit invaders with stock fks breaks. invaders are what, 82 under foot? and fks stock are 80 i think

ill go test it out on for you on an 82 waist

got a pair of 120's lying around with stocks

im pretty confident you wont have to bend

they will probably fit, if not it will be a slight tweak as opposed to a full 90-90 bend. 2 90-90 bends will most likely break a set of brakes unless they are seriously spread out and the bender is good at what he does

if you bend once for 90 and again for 130 there might be enough arm length to keep the integrity of the metal, but it's very iffy

3 mm? Grab the brakes with two hands and pull them apart. It's that easy to make a little room. 3mm is incredibly small.

no, if you're careful you should be fine.

On one pair of fks breaks I swear I bent them 5 or 6 times to get them right and they haven't broken.

could is just pull them for that extra 3mm? like i lined them up with my invaders and they practically fit, is it worth doing a full bend?

Well my bro took off my existing heal piece ( i was at work) and slaped the fks over top of that spot and said the breaks dont fit. He said it shouldnt take more than a little bend though, not a full 90 degree one, but just pulling them outwards.

you can definitely just pull them out a little. i know a kid who has them around anthems with just a pull, not a full on bend.
