IS GOING WINDELLS FOR ALL THAT MONEY WORTH?

I love windells and have always thought its worth it. If you have to ask then maybe its not right for you...

if you think you got the steeziest tall-T then yes, if you want to learn how to ski, it is not, anyways, go to MHSSC insted

eat, play knock out, watch footage with your group, hang out in BOB (trampoline, foam pit, sick skate park all in doors), outdoor skateboarding, nike 6.0 video game bus thing, and then they do activities like fishing, paintball, dodgeball, etc. theres allways stuff to do and its pretty fun. too bad im broke and my parents wont pay for me going

It's worth it! I've been up there for 9yrs and its only getting better. Last year was the best the park has been in the past 5-6yrs with a ton more stuff. ( campers and guest opinion) I build the Parks there now- took over last year and was one of the head coaches prior. i build the parks at heavenly during the winters so u know the park will be sick if I come back again. Its nice to have a lil bit more fredom to build at windells vs. heavenly since its a private park. + there not going to be a pubic park this year due to HCSC takiing over the mid summer location...so there might be only early in the summer. I support skiers (so does windells) and I do a dig to ride program to for hard workers... just dont burn the bridge by coming in and poaching....Then i can big a dick. hope this helps

I've been ther 3 times and it is crazy how much more popular skiing is getting there. They treatthe skier like GOD there now. GO!

I would think it would be. Going skiing in a park probally better than my home mountian in the summer sounds like a good time. And theres so much talent there it would be awsome to just be around it. Exspensive as shit though.

there will be a public park, just not in the canyon west of palmer. How long it will last is questionable, as the run down to mile can melt out pretty fast by mid july.

but in my humble opinion, unless you're like a young kid, summer ski camps are way expensive for what you get. And as a side note (not really associated with Windells), despite what some people might say, Government Camp in the summer is LAME.

I went to Windells for a spring session this year. I am from Wisconsin, and I had minimal jumping experience. Here is everything that I learned.

Jumps:

correct pop

landing frontwards

180s both ways

grabbed 180s

360s both ways

switch of jumps

zero spins

switch 180s

butter 360s off jumps

Rails:

slide rail regular

slide rail unnatural

switch on

switch off

how to get air off a hip

how to get air in a halfpipe

180s and 360s off a hip

carving switch

skiing in powder

natural hits

quarterpipe airs

tree jibs.

Mount hood Summer Ski camp is really good also.god rails and boxs and a nice 3 line of 20- 65 foot jumps. lots of fun and half the price. check it out mthood.com

public park will be on the mile below the halfpipe where it always used to be. not as sick as the burton slopestyle course but a public paqrk will exist

how much actual riding do you get in a day, cus i was looking at some other camps and you only get like 3 hours a day

you get to ride alot the park is sick if you dont mind hiking, but the food sucks and unless you skate after skiing can get boring. go to momentum if you can

im going to camp of champions this summer, for the 5 day camp its 1,300 and the park is supposed to be twice as big and if im right u have to walk the park at windells when there a tow rope at coc

im trying to decide between going to mt hood for the public park, or going to windells. what would you say is better? and whats the normal ages for people at windells?

what do u mean whats better? if you pay for windells then you get to ride their park... and pub park. otherwise you'll just ride public unless you are good at poaching . Just watch out for a douchebag named Mike head digger he takes pleasure in hunting down and raping kids poaching his park

you can really stay up there riding as much as you want. Of course some of the kids want to bail early, so they all group up or whatever and head down with a coach, but most of the coaches and employees stay up there to session everything into the afternoon, and a bunch of kids usually stay up there for longer too. Its kind of dope when that happens because then its only a few kids with the coaches and thats always dope. Ill be back there coaching all summer..hope to see some of you guys up there!

yaaa man im going there for 2 weeks for the same price (actually less) then going to windells or hcsc for 1 week
