Is going back to SD a good idea?

So Ive recently noticed that a lot of people are switching to HD video cams, and for good reason. I currently own a T2i and was offered a trade for a vx2100 mk2. I have had a vx before and liked it a lot but i'm not sure if switching back to SD is a good idea with everyone else doing the exact opposite. Any thoughts?

Is it a good idea to chop off your penis, feed it to an 8 year old (fried of course) and watch them choke on your seamen?

No its not a good idea you long legged Puerto Rican

i would offer my advice if knew enough about cameras, but i dont. if you want legitimate answers from people that generally know what they're talking about try posting in Media and Arts.

Yeah, put this in media and arts, but this is my first time in out of Media and arts, and Regionals on this site in a while, so ill offer you some advice, Keep your t2i, VX's fucking suck, way too soft, there color temp is kinda weird, and there not HD, i have a DVX and i really want to go HD but i just can't afford it, so no do not go back to SD

first. fuck the haters....
i liked how the vx cams looked.... its not hd of course.. but then again neither is 16mmits kinda oldschool and to people who know. i think pretty cool... maybe thats me.... im not so crazy about hd. i guess. hell i would love to see some more 8mm cam work.
to the op... don't let people shit on you. do what you think is cool.. switch it up....

Honestly...

no never go back to standard def.

VX2100 and SOOPER WIDE MK2 sucks dude.

Legit, VX2100's would go to a regular filmer for maybe $500 nowadays.

on skateperception where everyone has a raging boner they go for like $1000.

you are wrong. vx2100's are still a very good camera. if you knew anything about cameras you would know that just because a camera isn't HD, it doesn't mean its not "legit." the vx series have been in the game for quite a while and they are still being used for things other than filming skateboarding. also, a vx21/mk2 setup is still wider than many HD setups, so in fact, they do not suck. oh and before you hate on skateperception, just realize that 75% of that site, including myself, know WAY more about cameras than you do, and the only reason they sell their vx setups for $1000 is because they really know what they're worth.
to OP, if you already have a t2i, then stay with it. its a great camera. HD isn't going anywhere.

Would you rather look at a blurry set of tits, or a nice defined set of tits?

I only fap in HD

The reason skaters used the vx1000 is because it had the widest long lense, nothing much besides that, that i know of.... so no, i would probably question the level of your IQ if you were to agree to the trade.

Just stay with your t2i. Reason? I've seen a solid 150 shitty edits with a VX, where as I've seen a handful of good VX edits. And the nice thing about a t2i is the variety of lens choices you have.

NO, of standard deff, the dvx has the widest long lens, the reason skaters like the vx1, vx2, and vx21, is because they have there special "FISHEYES" but in reality vx's suck, there colors are over saturated, there really soft, and there really fucking old
