His argument is that there is a minor cooling trend, therefore global warming is false. Glen Beck is an ignorant fucktard who should be killed, and the "expert" they had in is a fucking tool who obviously, like most/all of the people who are against global warming, has an outside agenda that would be served well if they convinced people that global warming is fake.

Youre a fucking tool for believing these guys.

Arguing that global warming/climate change is not occurring is basically on the same page as arguing that evolution is false.

Global Warming, the theory that our entire planet is warming up, is fake. Climate change, the theory that our entire planet's climate is changing, is real. Climate change means that some areas could get hotter, while others could actually get colder.

Global warming is many things, but one thing it is not is science! It was a laughed-at science until the 1980's, when Margrat Thatcher needed an issue to get elected, so she brought in this obscure "science" to scare ppl into electing her. And it worked, and it's been working ever since.

The global climate is exretmely complicated, it's not easy to measure the global mean temperature, and it's even harder to discern global trends from localalized weather patterns. And we haven't been taking data for that long, so we don't even have enough info to predict anything. As a science, it is hotly contested and nowhere near "fact". But as a scare tactic for politicians, it has been proven over and over.
The term "climate change" is another term introduced by politicians. Rather than take a strong stand and say that the worl is warming, it's politically better to be flexible - They can't be wrong if they use a term that means nothing at all.
Not to mention Global waring has started to get a bad rap as a scare tacit, and changing the vocabulary is a way to get around that. the climate is changing doesn't mean anything! no offense at all, but of course the world's climate is changing - it's never been static and never will be static. A short look at just human history proves that, and a longer look at prehistory will confirm it.

If the climate changes ridiculously fast (on a global scale is hundreds of years, an almost impossible rate) and ridiculously large chage humanity will have problems. But right now there are ppl living in all sorts of clmates, and if a large percentage of ppl have the climate they're living in changed it might be difficult, but it won't kill humanity off. And that sort of change is ridiculously unlikely, there is a balange in nature, bt it's a stable one and it takes more

Okay first of all, while I do personally acknowledge that there is climate change occur, it would be equally ignorant to not realize that both sides have a political agenda to push via the extent that the climate is changing. The Theory of evolution is far different from this, it has a solid principal that has been proven over and over and never disproved, global warming is NOT the same, there are plenty of examples, but there are also many parts of the idea that have been disproved. BOTH sides of the aisle are trying to benefit from global warming and if you don't think that anyone talking about it on TV and not in a science journal isn't trying to help some political agenda then you are just as ignorant as anyone.

Global warming is real, it usually follows an ice age and is followed by a cooling period, and yet another ice age. If global warming did not exist we would still be in an ice age. I don't see where there is any debate to this.

Global Warming is not real, HOWEVER, CLIMATE CHANGE is real...
Climate change means that because our Co2 levels are 100ppm higher than they ever have been (according to 750,000 year old ice cores) we have rising temps. Co2 means higher temps, therefore higher Co2 means higher temps. Now this will not only increase temperatures but it will make extreme cold in the winter... COLDER. It raises the extremes both ways.
Climate Chance is real and affecting our world more and more everyday.
The worst thing about climate change is that we are ignoring it now, but the Co2 we spew into the atmosphere now will not affect temps for another 40 years. Please research, get educated.
 
so? what people fail to realize while sucking al gores dick is that the earth, as seen in that nifty chart, has been undergoing climate change naturally for millions of years without the help of humans. its going to happen regardless of what we do and its kids like the ones who post above who are too damned dumb to look past the fox news heading to see that there is some truth behind what the guy was saying. im referring to the idea that we can make a change by not putting up as much Co2... its not a bad idea, just a retarded one. that being said, global climate change is happening, you cant do anything about it. harden the fuck up and stop being little cunts towards someone who doesnt believe the same shit you do.

In my argument against your insane theory, I only have one piece of evidence to present.

The planet Venus:

Venus actually has many clouds, along with an atomosphere built the same way ours is. But it's air is comprised mostly out of carbon and CO2. Venus is actually a good refrence to what would happen if we did not curb CO2 output whatsoever. The surface temp on Venus is 758K(900F). You would literally vaporize in that heat.

Why is the temperature so high, well because of the CO2. The sun's rays hit Venus, and they should normally escape just like in our atmosphere, but they cannot because the thick CO2 traps it in. Now if our Earth raised it's temperature by only a few degrees, the effect on the sea levels would be devastating. While we don't have nearly as much CO2 as Venus, we are building it up, and slowly warming up the atmosphere because the CO2 is trapping the heat in. That is why curbing it now is of the uptmost importance, and even if none of this is true and God created the world in 7 days, wouldn't you want a clean world for your children?

Just a note on Glenn Beck. That ham handed fucking "lecture" that was given is proof enough to how bad of an idea it is to listen to that asshole. Seriously, just look at the way he tries to make himself look intelligent by wearing glasses and having doctors give "lecture" using half assed "science." He is a clown.

If we keep adding CO2 to the atmosphere, the temperature will increase, and climate change will become more drastic.

Please explain how it is retarded that emitting less CO2 will make the temperature increase less drastic...

It's so clear, only fuckin wack jobs will say its not real. It really isn't even a conservative or liberal opinion anymore it's just accepted knowledge. The only reason we aren't doing anything about it is because oil and coal companines are rich and can pay for richard linzdens and hundreds more lobbyists than the enviormental side will ever have.

 
actually scientists are debating this fact right now. Most now think that higher temp. = more CO2 released.
 
I totally agree with you, I just have to make a statement that if you want to help our earth, DO NOT BUY A PRIUS. Prius's are worse than Hummers in terms of environmental harm. Just get a used car and drive less, or ditch the car and live in a city that has public transportation, or get your city to do it. Off topic, just wanted to clear that up.
 
we watched this in my statistics class and our job was to find all of the false statistics and there were a lot also we found there were points in the video where he just made shit up
 
In my school we had to look at past CO2 charts and all it really looks like is that we are currently in the highest peak yet. But who can say what will happen in the future, most likely levels will fall again.
 
I think we need to move past the question, "Is global warming real or not" and move onto, "How are we going to slow it?" Bottom line, climate change is inevitable and we should stop bitching about whether it is real or not.
 
no, there are many that don't believe it's real, and we should not waste people's tax money on "green technology" or stuff like that, if they don't believe in it.
 
its inevitable so theres no point in slowing it down, the legislation being created on trying to slow it down is becoming upsurd. The copehegean confrence is going to hurt everyone because there going to place a tax on carbon emmisions. Guess what country admits the most carbon..
