Is getboards.com good

YES getboards is perfectly fine, i have stood up for them in soo many threads. they have done nothing but good things for me and are always fast at shipping and they upgrade ur shit for free ( taleast they did for me )
 
dude getboards is saweet they dont always have the best prices but free shipping and they toss ya some other free stuff how can ya beat that and there shit will get to ya fast

getboards is a peice of shit. they suck at shipping and customer service. go to jibij.com. the owner handles every order so it doesnt get fucked up like on getboards. plus they dont do anything for the industry whereas jibij actually does put back
 
getboards seems to be a very hit or miss company. I have had 3 good transactions with them and 2 bad and now i dont even bother trying to order through them. for the 1st bad one it dealt with me returning an item and they did not credit my credit card for a month and even after that it took too many phone calls and emails before they finally fixed it. for the other they charged my credit card when i placed my order and my items didnt arrive after a month, when i called they told me half my order was out of stock so they were waiting until it was all in to ship it, i told them to cancel the order and it took another 2 months of calling and emailing to finally get my money credited back to my account for my purchase that never shipped out. if you really must order from getboards i highly recommend that you place your order over the phone and not online.

as for good places to order from backcountry.com/tramdock.com/dogfunk.com (all the same company) have always been phenominal as far as getting orders shipped out quickly and having great prices and a very up to date website which lets you know that items are instock or not. on top of that the customer service is the best i have ever dealt with. they really work to make the customer happy. other great companies include jibij.com and evogear.com.
 
yeah, I would stay away. I have had good luck, but so many people have bad expirences. They have an F rating from the Better Business Bureau, which is as bad as it gets. There are much more reliable sites out there. go with them
 
theyre alright most of the time. once in a while they will never ship you the stuff you ordered until a few weeks later. or in some cases 2-3 months, or they wont even ship at all unless you constantly call them 5 times a day
 
My first pair of park skis before I even knew were to shop at, bought them at getboards, luckily I had no issues, they shipped next day and it came right in time for me to mount and ski at the 24hour a thon thing 2days later.
 
yeah, a ton of NSers have ahd problems on that site, but ive never had any sort of problems. I wouldnt risk it for a big purchase.
 
ive ordered from them atleast 10 times and have had no problems, it did take like 2 weeks almost for my t shirts one time but thats not to big of a deal
 
2 years ago i wanted to get the "i am a skier" shirt from line. i decided to ask for it from my aunt for christmas. i sent them the link to the page where they order it on getboards. i assume that she bought it. that was about a month before christmas. on christmas she said she was really sorry and that it hadnt come yet. i figured they were just busy before the christmas season so i didnt really care. but now 2 years later it still hasnt come. i doubt hat she ever really called or followed up, but that is still inexcusable(sp?).

so what im saying is that i will never by shit from them. there are places that are just as good, and you will have the peace of mind knowing that the dealer was legit
 
You will either get hooked up or screwed over hardcore, with the latter being more likely. Go with Jibij, Backcountry, or Porters because the deals are better as well as the service.
 
Dude these people that have gotten fucked...seriously. Dude, you ordered a shirt and you didn't get it for 2 years and you are blaming them? Your order probably didn't go through or something,there was obviously a miscommunication. Neways all the "horror stories" I have heard about GB.com go along the lines of "I ordered a sticker and it's been 6 years and I haven't gotten it yet" or "I ordered a beanie and it's been two months, I haven't bothered to call them and follow up, but this is bullshit! waawaawa.) If you order a pair of skis or something I would bet you recieve them. If you haven't recieved your shit within a few weeks fucking pick up the phone and TALK TO SOMEBODY. holy shit, it's not that difficult people. Grow some balls. Neways, I bought 2 different pairs of skis from them. They were way cheaper than newhere else, I got free shipping and both pairs arrived under a week as advertised. They sent me free hats and shirts and stickers and shit with the skis I bought, and once they just sent me a box full of free movies hats stickers shirt and random shit for no reason.

So, nothing but good feedback here. If you find a product on their site and the price is better than newhere else just buy it (unless you want to support a local shop, which I would if I could ever afford to). If you don't get the stuff you ordered after a week or two pick up the phone and call. If you still haven't gotten your gear, or a refund, you suck at life and need to be way more ASSERTIVE and stop letting people walk all over you.
 
that is the problem though.....people try and talk it out with Getboards and nothing happens. I have know several people who have called them up multiple times to have them straight up not pick up the phone, be rude over the phone, attempt to solve the problem and send the wrong item to them, etc, etc. Never are the people there that professional.

Don't know how many of you know what the BBB does (Better Business Bureau), but if you read their report on getboards it is horrible. As I said above, they get an F which is the worst rating possible.

What you can do thru the BBB is fill a report and have them, not you, go and try to mediate the problem. So, these people aren't being lazy, they are taking it even a step further. Of the 11 problems brought to the BBB for mediation in the last few years, getboards just flat out didn't anwser 8 of them. And this is to a organization that does this every single day with the biggest companies in the world. It isn 't like the BBB guys just call once and that is it. They sent formal complaints to the company that are mediated by several people who do this for a living.

As has been said, it is totally hit or miss with them. If everything goes well, that it is ok. If it doesn't, you are left with a complete fucking hassel trying to convey the problem to so stupid stoner kids who don't give a fuck.

Take your chances, or go with Backcountry.com, tramdock.com, jibij.com, DC, porters, etc, etc where the people actually give a fuck.
 
There are many good shoops out there and from the stories I have heard GB has some of the least credibility. I have taken many orders from customers that have said they ordered skis from GB and that they never got their stuff. We are talking skis like Bacon's. Customers were told they had them in stock but they were not shipping them for like 2 weeks because they had so many orders to get out. Customer waited 3 more weeks, still nothing, called us and he had them in AK in 2 days. How can you get backed up for 2 weeks and not get a ski that you have been waiting for, for almost 4 months to come in and not ship it out immediately. Sounds pretty lame to me. Jibij does a great job and so does BC.

i ordered shit off getboards, and i never got it, and they never gave us our money back. plus they never responded to us. go with jibij.com, plus they are having a huge sale
