Is FD wear good?

I was looking around at different outerwear sites and I liked how I could chose my suit at FD so I was wandering if it's good for the money does the zippers and stuff hold up and is it warm?

people just hate to hate.

First drop used to have a bad reputation for low durability in their products but a buddy of mine picked up some of their newer stuff and it is quality. Go for it if you like it and don't listen to the hate that little kids will be spewing out who have probably never even worn anything made by fd.

I've had my V2 pants for a season and a half and there still in good condition. I would recommend FD wear to anyone.

FD Wear has got a lot of hate for their history or poor durability/product quality, however from what I've seen/read FD Wear have really stepped up their game and durability/product quality is much improved. I'm probably gonna pick up a new pair of pants from them sometime soon.

From what I've heard there newer stuff is much more durable, so if you're a fan of the designs i'd say go for it.

nope FD wear is the worst you can get! it breaks no matter what you do to it! personally i would buy it just to burn it!!

This, a buddy of mine grabbed the V2 last season and I joked with constantly if it had ripped yet. The joke is now on me because it's still in prime shape.

I too will be picking up a pair of their khaki colored pants. (as i'm sure many other people will also be doing)

My friend ordered a pair of their pants and they look really bad, the material they used to make them just looks like complete shit, like it's not even water proof and will fall apart immediately. Will see next season though.

I had a FD suit all last season, and couldn't speak higher about it. Held up fantastic, and waterproofing was nothing short of great on some extremely wet days.

probably listened to your penis and clicked an Ad, if you know what I'm saying, probably don't but fd wear is alright not great, just average quality and durability.

I bought a vertika jacket last spring. I wore it for maybe 6 days of riding and one of the sleeves fell off.. Dont get me wrong, I thought the fabric quality was good but the quality of the zippers was definitely lacking. I couldnt tell if they were plastic or a low quality metal, about 5 or 6 teeth broke off making it unzippable. The main zipper is a little more durable than the sleeve zippers. They were very nice about it and their customer service was quick with getting back to me. If they have changed at all since last year then disregard this review besides the customer service part..

They actually changed the type of zipper in the sleeves this year. Which is why the extra sleeves aren't backwards compatible with last year's jacket.

FD gets a lot of hate for good reason. The stuff is shit. Yes I know from experience, as do my buddies. Do yourself a favor and buy some Saga.

Yes, the other NS member who commented about us changing the zippers on the sleeves on the new gear is correct. They now have a locking zipper puller to keep the sleeves from unzipping on their own.

We haven't had any problems with the zippers breaking, but if you had some teeth break off, then definitely hit us up- that is something that is covered under warranty. Shoot us an email to info@fdwear.com with some pics and we'll get that taken care of for you!
