Is doing tricks on skis easier than on a trampoline?

So I ski one week a year. The ski vacation of 2014 I did my first backflip on a pretty large kicker, hadn't done one on a trampoline before. The ski vacation of 2015 i did my first frontflip on skis, which also was my very first frontflip at all. I would practice on the airbag a dozen times and the last day of the ski week I would do it on the snow. Anyway couple months ago I bought myself a trampoline so I could practice ski tricks throughout the year. It took me 4 months before I did my first backflip on the trampoline. It's as if you require much more precision on a trampoline where as with skis on you can just throw your body backwards, it just feels more secure. Is this true, or did I just get old & lose my balls?

haha that's funny. hopefully this inspires the current crop of people who can backy on tramps in their sleep but havent made the leap on snow yet

theyre just really different, is all. bounding into a flip is much different than skiing into one. tramps arent good because they mirror skiing jumps super well, theyre just good cause they help your air awareness and understanding of stuff

Only time i've ever done flips is on snow. Threw one backflip on a trap once and it was super sketchy and landed weird.

Tramps In my opinion are not that great for learning tricks for skiing. You can't really get good rodeos and corking is much more exaggerated because you are coming from a standing position. Jumps do a lot of the work for corks. It's defs good for air awareness and balance tho and getting creative with grabs. Depends where you go to. Some tramp parks don't allow doubles.

I've found that a lot of skiing tricks are easier on snow because you get a lot of forward momentum. not saying its easier to land but getting the rotation might be quicker. tramps are a good start though.

No, I can land triple backflip on the tramp and on skis I can land a backflip but like 3 out of 5 times. It deffinitly helps, but the gainer motion on skis and the extra weight fucks up all my air awerness

just got stitches yesterday from landing on the metal of a tramp. honestly i feel like its less sketchy to crash on snow, ive heard of people having some pretty gnarly crashes on trampolines.

I find that there are some tricks you can only do on snow like cork 3s and cork 7s feel easier on snow but there is more risk on snow.(obviously).
