Is Mr Benchetler skiings most underrated icon?

I know he has big sponsors like GoPro and Atomic but it seems he doesn't get the props he deserves he is probably the most creative back country skier except for Samny Carlson.

Thoughts ? Is Chris Benchetler Skiings travis rice ?

Newschoolers isn't an accurate representation of the skiing community. The dude has 73k followers on the gram. He has much more respect over at TGR and with people whose ideas of skiing aren't just arm swings and afterbang. Pretty much every big mountain skier is under respected on Newschoolers.

False.

Tanner Rainville is the most underrated skier. T-Rains is also the most underrated skiing icon.

These are just facts.

Tanner Rainville definitely flies under the radar. Used to be way more "mainstream" in the skiing world when he was pretty big in the park scene.

The dude puts out insane edits / video parts every year. Has been killing the backcountry game for a long time now.

His less segment is seriously underrated. Same with Duncan's.

As SJW said above, heavy hitters that ski outside the park usually dont get as much love. Totally understandable when a good portion of the site mainly skis park though.

Benchetler and the entire Nimbus crew in general kinda gets slept on now, we used to fucking drool over all their 30-minute productions they came out with a while back. I thought after the Sky Falls was easily one of the greatest ski movies to come out recently, imo. Really captured the whole vibe of hammering deep pow laps with the buddies.

This. I don't consider this website to be an accurate representation of the entire skiing world. People on this website tend to care mostly about urban and park, Benchetler does different things. Go to TGR and you will find it is very different. When I lived in Tahoe the people everyone looked up to were the guys destroying the Palisades and the Fingers. People didn't care all that much what people were doing in the park. CR Johnson got tons of respect but that was because he also threw down on the mountain. Most of the people who live where the mountains are actually steep like that type of skiing, although they don't tend to care as much about pro skiing as the people here.

I would consider Benchetler miles above Tom Wallisch. Most here won't agree with me. Obviously they do different things, I just like the things Benchetler does better.

When I think of the best pow skiers it's T hall, benchetler, and sammy carlson. I feel like Rainville, Dane tudor, and tim durtschi are more under the radar
