*I SEARCHBARRED AND NOTHING CAME UP THAT HAD TO DO WITH WHAT I WAS ASKING*

but anyways. i hear that center mounting a directional ski, as the chronics are, is bad. is that true?

i dont need lectures on how much i ski park and such. i just wanna know if it messes up the ski or anything, or if it makes it sketchy or act weird. any1 know anything?thanks

it really depends on if you care more about skiing in or out of the park. if you have chronic blends i definately dont think you should center them. otherwise go nuts.

Don't remount them, bro. you don't ski 100% park and if you're going to center mount those in washington you should probably save up for a 2nd pair of skis for the powpow and backcountry when you ski with us at crystal. Plus, you're only 5 cm away or something from center mounted, so it's really no difference at all.

o im not remounting mine. they'd be like snowblades fuck haha. just im getting new chronics next year, and seriously thinking about centering them. kuz i do a lotta park, especially this year. but i was just wondering if it is bad to center a directional ski. but it sounds like its not, it all depends on skier and what they're skiing. thanks guys, good help

I have this years blends and center mounted them. They fucking rock centererd. I can ski all mountain super easy still and they are super still so they rip. They also can stomp huge park jumps switch easy. Go for the center mount just buy a longer ski.

if you mount them at core center, you'll be fine. if you mount them at the tip-to-tail center, you might be fucked. i have some old PEs i've been experimenting with mounting points on (i've had them at +5, +7.5, +9.5, and +11.5, all remounts, no broken skis) and once you get forward of the core's center, weird things start happening.

^ya well im still deciding between the anthems and chronics. just dunno yet... too hard to decide. i do a lot of park, every weekend i do usually 2 days at the park. then maybe, MAYBE, once a month i'll do some normal skiing. o and can't forget about the BC booters for learning stuff. what you guys think?

^kuz i like em lol. they're like perfect for park, stiff enuf to stomp and not wash out, but flex enough for some give.

I love my Anthems. They kill it all mountain and are wayyyy sick in the park. Haven't skied them in pow, well I did once and wasn't real impressed, but shit, they aren't pow skis, I have Bacons for that. I'd definitely go Anthems.

It'll put the center of the sidecut and the core center behind you, so it's your call. They'll flex a little weird and won't carve for shit, but if that's worth it to you go for it.

I have chronic blends mounted at true center. they are the fucking dope show. I mostly ride them in park, but I've taken them into the Alpental BC a few times, skied some pow, trees, cliffs. If they are your only ski i'd probly go like 1 cm or 2 cm back from true center, but I've thrown all i've got at these skis, and they are the shit.

it won't hurt your skiin, but i personaly always like 1 cm back on anything except invaders or anthems, the 1 cm back from center really comes in handy in the pipe and make pow a bit easier

yeah, they'll be skittish all mountain and the sidecut won't hook up as well. It's fine if you're just a no turn/backseat bandit kid when out of the park, but if you want to carve on your skis and get some all mountain performance I wouldn't mount center

Yes, they can rock groomers. I ride mine on groomers all the time and they are sick. Don't get chronics and mount them center, that's just fucking retarded, get a symmetrical ski and mount it center, not a non symmetrical mounted center. Anthems are way sick, just buy them and never look back.

Get the chronics and center mount them. The anthem and invaders and like noodles. Pretty much shit other than for rails and buttering.
