Is bureaucracy the downfall to our great country?

After hearing about the patent war going on right now, which hinders innovation greatly, I'm wondering if some kind of common sense should be followed for enforcing the laws instead of strict rules and regulations.

Here is a link to the podcast for those of you who want to learn about the patent war going on currently http://www.thisamericanlife.org/play_full.php?play=441&podcast=1

This certainly falls under a larger umbrella of an idea that we could fix a lot of things wrong in our society. If we follow protocol it leads to inefficiencies and if we used common sense it can eliminate those inefficiencies causes by bureaucracy. (law enforcement, tax breaks, frivolous law suits, ect.)

shoot between greed, lobbying, and the idiots who vote in our country I say we're in for a rough future

I'd rather have patent laws in place than people going around copying eachother... It's a tough tradeoff but I think we chose the right side.

And our debt will be the ultimate downfall to the country if anything. Taxpayers want more benefits and less taxes, I think you all can understand why that's a problem.

Id hate to be THAT GUY(pun intended)

but really patents don't even really prevent copying so to speak, some people come up with ideas, another person steals said Idea and then patents it.

But I totally agree patents are a good thing, its a good way to keep records of who or waht created and has rights to something,

Bureaucracy is definitely one of the things wrong with the world right now... wouldn't say its the sole cause of any downfall by any means.

HEY I STRONGLY URGE ALL OF YOU TO READ THIS!

http://www.zerohedge.com/article/guest-post-new-hampshire-man-burns-self-courthouse-protest

spark notes: man light himself on fire in front of a court house in protest of domestic violence. It goes into the intimate details of our justice system and how TRULY FUCKED we all are

This man was emotionally intelligent, sued the courts and won plenty of times, yet was still unable to see his kids.

Eventually he calls for the whole system to be burned down starting with police stations and court houses, giving detailed instructions on how not to get caught and to make Molotov cocktails.

Reading this manifesto is making me so mad
