i usually ski at mslm, and i want a little bit of a change, and ive heard that brimacombe and dagmar have good parks. which one is more of a mission from toronto?

dagmar is closer.....brimacomb is further east...dagmar is pretty killer...jump line and rails are a lot fun...5 jumps in the jump line....you can probably hit about 5-6 rails in a row as well...you will not be disapointed

Sounds sick, never been there

but brimacombe has a sick setup this year. just PM GORDON and he'll tell you whats going on in the park

I can't say that I've ever driven from Toronto to Dagmar or from Toronto to Brimacombe but I would say that Brimacombe is every bit as easy to get to....it's closer to the 401 (about 16k up the 35/115hwy) and 3k east of the 115/35...all major hwy's. I can literally see the CN Tower from the top of Brimacombe....so it's not a huge difference.

Check out our website www.brimacombe.ca for infomation about pricing and what our facility has to offer.

Here is a link to my Blog from the weekend that is mostly pics from our park.

The pictures don't really show the whole park, most are taken in the lower half.

We have Park Pass system, info about it and how to get it is on our website as well, it's ten bucks +hst -good for the year, and accepted at the following clubs,

Alpine Ski Club

Beaver Valley Ski Club

Brimacombe

Caledon Ski Club

Craigleith Ski Club

Devil's Glen Ski Club

Georgian Peaks Ski Club

Laurentian Ski Club

Mansfield Ski Club

Osler Bluff Ski Club

We also accpet Park Passes issued at those resorts.

We have received rave revues about our Park, and if you like skiing more than just park, we have a lot of offer here.

Thanks for your interest.

dags park is unreal this year, dont see how brim could have more variation as far as features and line selection, but haven't had the chance to see it myself yet. plus..."we are closer!" haha

I'm not here to be a part of a big arguement about who is better, closer, or to knock another resort, I don't think that makes any of us look better than the other. I'll just speak to our resort and park.

Again, I've never driven from Toronto to Dagmar (specifically), but I have driven from Toronto to Brimacombe many many times, without traffic and in good weather it takes me about an hour to reach the downtown core. Any traffic on the 401 slows the drive to either Brimacombe or Dagmar, once you get past the Oshawa/Whitby border the traffic dies heading east. We are about 20mins east of Oshawa via the 401 and 35/115 hwy's. I can see the CN tower from the top of Brimacombe and I can see the lights of Dagmar's neighbor (that is higher up the ridge from them) at night when it is clear. My point is, it's not a huge difference, try us both and then decide whcih suits you better.

I don't have pics of our entire park on this computer, Here are two shots taken from our jump line (One line has 6 jumps (one is a snow box type jump) the other has 4 - 5 if you count the last jump in the row that can be hit from either line)

Yes you do. It is $10 for the year, you can do it all online and then bring your waiver and test results in the day you come (if the park pass doesn't stop you) if your under 18 make sure your parents sign the proper place and have another adult witness it. I think one of my other posts talked about the Park pass and what other resorts accept it, we are part of the only "common" park pass program in Ontario.

I'm biased of course, but it's still worth it, especially if you plan to ski more than park.

Dagmars park is the best of the best, think of it as top gun of snowparks in the area. If you screw up just this much you'll be flying a cargo plane full of rubber dogshit out of hong kong

I don't think that statement includes the outback although, you can hit more jumps in a row at the dirty. Some dudes from Louis did come down to the dirty and said they did enjoy themselves. Go ahead and try it out, let this forum know what you think.

Cue 'Danger Zone' haha

But in all seriousness, Dagmar is the best it has ever been, I find it hard that other resorts in the area (lakeridge & Kirby, yes i said kirby) are even remotely close to their level.

I think we could all sit here at our own resorts and say we are the best. I'm biased, so it's not my place to judge. We get a lot of compliments from visitors from all over as well. Check us out, check Dagmar out, Check MSLM out, there are a lot of ski days left in the season.

i counted at work today but i already forget. 26 features alone in our big park (dagmar) i think. the impound has to have, lets count. spine, urban box, 3 set of flatbox rainbow and fd rail, 3 set of flat box rainbow and shotty, battleship, the double rail and double box, and then 3 jump line, first two with 2 size lips, so my math says , 26 big park and 16 mini.... 42 features... no big deal.

Come to Dagmar, the park is the best it's ever been, so much fun - easily the best in the area imo
