Is bending brakes bad

The ski shop I deal with only has 90mm brakes for my 98mm skis, is it that bad to

bent the brakes to fit?

I followed this advice and the brakes never deploy. Respectfully, fuck this advice

Carefully use a torch and pliers to bend them slowly, OP. They should be okay but you also might have to shave some of the plastic parts off, too.

that’s interesting. i have 90 mm brakes on my 96s and i have zero complaints.

Depends on the binding! Pivots will usually fit a bit wide because the plastic pits on the brake are low profile but so ething like an attack binding has much less lee way as the plastic is a bit bigger. I usually go + or - 5 from the set width but sometimes you can squeeze in a couple more mm
