Is any one building, or alredy have a summer big jump and landing setup?

i've been wandering this for a while too. maybe not a BIG jump and landing but one that could accommodate some whippy 3s and 5s. i think anything big would just be getting a little dangerous. plus you have to build a real strong landing to take those impacts.

i dont really think its worth building a jump in the summer cause everything gonna hurt and it wont be possible to make a jump big enough to do very many tricks and i think it would get boring kind of fast

I'm building one this summer. Its gonna be a 15-20 foot jump. Im using a 15 foot dropin on top of a 5 foot ledge with a super steep ramp and good tranny. I dont know what Im using for the inrun. probally astroturf. but i found this hard black plastic with like little bumps in it that might work and its like $5 for a 4x60 foot sheet. I'll try it first and if it doesnt work i'll use the astro turf. to make the landing softer im using astro turf with this foam I found under it. then im gonna put a plastic thing in between them to keep the foam dry. the foam is like 2 inches thick but I dont know what thats called either. I'm gonna finish it this weekend or next probally so I'll post pics and maybe a vid.

Heh.. that was a mouthful.

Im almost through with a 16ft drop in off 10ft high scafulling. I plan to set up my own back yard water ramp into a stock tank. At first I thought I would make a dirt landing and put astro turf over the dirt but at this point I think it would be to dangerous and not big enough to do 5s. I will post pics of the drop in after its done this weekend.

Heres some pics fro sketchup of what I'm buiding. From the lip to the knuckle is 15'.

friends and me are planning to build a jump but we are gonna dig a huge hole and make a foam pit for the landing, we have a good terrain and it's gonna be a fucking hard work but I'm sure it will worth it!

^have you priced the foam yet? I got a quote from a gymnastics wholesaler and they wanted like $2000-$4000 for just the foam. I had the idea of making the pit out of livestock panels which are about $15 a piece. They are 16ft long and 5ft high which would be cheap but the foam is what is outrageous.

Bahaha, I posted almost this exact thing in ski gabber like... 2 weeks ago and everyone was like... NohOOHohOs u R teh IDioTszz!1!1!!111

Nice to see someone is thinking of trying it though. Anyways, keep us updated on your success!
