It lists that as the adult price for this past season. Is there a student discount or something? I'm transferring to UBC this year, is it worth it to have a grouse pass?

well the grouse passes are really cheap if you buy them in march i think like $200 for you but they they triple in price if you buy then during the season.

dont ski at grouse if you have to pay $700 for a pass... go to seaymour its $200 and they know how to build a jump

Y2play passes at grouse are barely over $150, so yeah they are worth it. $700 once they're sold out, which is now.

You need to buy them late season before the season you want

4by4 to whistler. $383.84, ski from beginning of november to mid june. only black out is boxing day to new years eve, if they even bother.

or go seymour cause its fun

I am transferring from California, and at Mammoth a season pass for me was almost $600, so I was hoping for $600 I could get a Whistler pass and another pass for a closer mountain. Sounds like that won't happen, Seymour's website lists a student pass as $500. I guess I'll just get the Whistler pass. Thanks for the info, guys.

yeah, not gonna happen, but if you were to get your passes in march, it mighta worked

if you ski here next year you could do that. Prolly same with seymour, lower prices early.

if i were you, i'd get a local pass and a whistler pass because you wont be able to trek all the way out to whis everytime you want to ski.

if you want to be gay and ski grouse (holy fucking hypocracy) then you can get a Y2gay (play) pass for like two hun or you could make the correct descision and go ski freemour which is more or less free. then you can ski here and in whis. it works out dandy.

Hey listen to this guy, he almost sounds like he knows what he's talking about! No really listen to him because he's absolutely 100% right, except about the y2play, because I assume they're long sold out by now.

if you are used to skiing at mammoth and then go to freemour, you likely will only go once. You'll have more fun at whistler.

Don't know about that one. Seymour BNB has beaten out Whistler BNB by a nose two years running, and as everyone knows, BNB is the standard by which fun is measured. Obviously WB is a better place to ski. Obviously. But that doesn't mean you can't have more fun at Seymour on the right day with the right people. The terrain is varied and interesting, there's some BC to hike, the park's well built and maintained, and the snow is generally pretty good. And all at a reasonable driving distance.

its fun cause its bnb... and youve mentally prepped yourself for a seymour day... shit aint whistler. 10 year olds doing rodeos off of tree slides off of cliffs onto ice.

the seymour pass will be about 200 in september, seymour can be fun but you just cant go there expectign fast laps and huge $ booters. if you go there to fuck around and get creative, maybe just get drunk, its fuckin fun. dipset. plus if you dont like whats there you build somethign yourself, they dun curr.

buy the 4x4 whist pas for like 385$ so good, and then i live out at ubc, i find it becomes a hassel to get to seymour, ( grouse or cypress wouldn't be any better) Seymour is a chill place, its easy to get away without buying a pass too, or just geta  a job 1 day a week there.

so it does. but the general trend has been that the first one happens around october to december and then the second one is april to june.

you might as well wait until latae march-ish (08) and get a y2play... ski the rest of 07-08 season and the whole of the -08-09... for a really cheap price.

im on the youth y2play... 150 bucks... its good for spring (march onwards) park skiing and the rest of the next season...

i hpoe they improve their park i think they will theyve just done a survey...

some alaskan chick at a coffee shop told me "if i really care about skiing i have to go to valdez, its beautiful." or something to that effect. i tried not to scoff and look at my impotent little wallet. both her and coffee shop dude claimed to ride whistler... cocksuckers. i still havent dropped jordan, what a vag...

k, to the point, fuck those places, save your money for super gnar-spensive gas in canada and just go to whis as much as possible and ride CBC trees pillows and fraggle and VD ridge and the coffin and dominator and saphire and shredder and poop chutes and feeders and husumi and everything that makes whistler so gosh darn skippy.

Don't forget to get your photo taken at the top of 7th heaven.

You'll want to cherish your memories in whistler at $8 per 4x6 photo.

...and then there are the secret pillow lines:

Mmm mmm good, one of the best runs last year.

^8000$ for a week of heli-skiing and you get that 8 hours a day, all day, with really fast laps. tis the best thing ever.

CBC trees has similar. fucking rights! My firend actually got his pass taken away for going in there. So stupid.    I had my pass taken away 3 times this year. It sucked.

Nick thats why you carry a 7-11 day ticket in your pocket all season, then sell it to a friend at the end of the year. Works great when you're poaching out of bounds.

Its not CBC either, wrong mountain. :>

No no, I didn't mean day tickets, I meant for those of with season passes...

You buy one day ticket and keep it in your pocket so they don't jack your seasons pass.

Ive had my pass clipped twice for being an idiot, but thank god for competitors all areas passes. They also try to send you to safety re-education classes, not fun at all.
