yeah man, when in doubt go longer :) it make take a bit longer to learn on, but once you get decent you will wish you had longer skis.

ok thanks, i've already got 181 BC's but want something smaller for the park, i'm 6'1 and was tempted by the 200 dollar mad trix at sport chek.

im about 5'7' 140 lbs and i use 165 tms.

ive skied a 177 before and just didnt like it as much in the park.

but for all mountain a longer ski is much better

 
I had 174 scrathes when i was 5'4' so i say go bigger, i grew and bought shorter skis, i dont know why

169's but in tryin to get rid of them

Dude, if you're 6'1, you should be on at least 175s. Don't go any lower, ever, and get longer pow skis, like 190s.

get some skis that are almost the same size that you are, youll get so much more stability

Im 5-9 with 174 rossi scratches. My old skis were 161 1080s and i was probably 5-7 last winter. They were fine with me for east coast but i demoed longer skis and i loved them on landings

Yeah us guys that are 6'+ get so shafted with park skis though. I think the Dynastar TMs and 1080s are the only things that go long enough. That Atomic guy Rex uses their 179s and he's like 190lbs...then again the Tweaks are rock solid. You have to consider flex AND length though. I'm bumping from my 178 tweaks to the 177 1260's...i don't think i'll get wierd stares unless I bust a fat one!
