Is 100mm brake to wide for a 86mm wide ski?

you can bend them back a bit. i had 110 mm brakes on 92mm wais skis and just asked them to bend bake the brakes. worked all season for me.
 
I would say it depends on what bindings. I Have px12's on my invaders with 100mm brakes and they come up nice and high so I have no issues. I have sth 12's on my chronics w/100mm brakes and the solly's hang out a little bit but they have only snagged like 2 times in 2 years with them so I would say you are fine.
 
i'll re-ask the question.... What bindings are they?

because its possible you don't need different brakes.
 
i got 100mm brakes on my sth 14 on my ar6's which have 89mm waist. haven't tried them out yet, so i was wondering the same as you
 
I have a similar question, but it's going to be a 95mm FKS brake and a 78mm waist ski. (Nine Lifes.)
 
you should be able to bend them and it will work

. if not i beleive you can change the brakes after they're mounted
