Yeah its definitely ironic, but I dont give a shit it will add a lil much needed spice and stoke back to freeskiing comps. Is he competing again in slopestyle/pipe stuff or is he getting into big mountain comps? I'm excited either way but more so if the latter is the case.

You ever say something years ago and then change your mind cause you want to do you? Who cares what he said about contests while he wasn't competing, that's how he felt at the time. Tanner is just trying to enjoy himself, and if getting back into the contest scene makes him excited, then he should go for it.

That was a period in his life when he was facing opiate addiction and a problem with alcohol, he was recovering from two blown knees and two broken femurs all after destroying both of his ankles (the fact that this dude can walk, let alone crush mountains is insane) and then CR's passing ruined him and obviously still effects him today.
It's a miracle that he made it out of those dark times and is still skiing and trying to enjoy life today. Don't be so hard on the dude... we all go through rough times.

It's pretty ironic too me, he brought up comp skiing to where it is today and completely shit on all of it. Kinda just pissed me off that he was dissing park with how great big mountain skiing is, just let us fucking ski. Also didn't he get banned from COE cause he was an asshole to the US team?

anyone saying tanner is butthurt or a moron... simply don't understand where he came from and what he did for skiing. If you are 14-20 yrs old on this website. you didn't have to the chance to experience how fucking good tanner was, season after season after season. The best ever.
I agree he went a little wild during the "real skiing" stunt... but whats new... tanner's passionate about skiing and tells it how it is. We've all said stupid shit before we didn't mean, and if I remember correctly tanner apologized for a lot of that stuff. I could be wrong.
