Iraq is getting worse

People like you are the ones who make it seem like it's getting worse. Why can't people be behind what we are doing? Sure, I definatly don't agree with what is going on over there, but I support it because things aren't going to change at all. People are dying over there and all we do is bitch about it. Instead of bitching about it try to change it.
 
One of the things motivating any change is public opinion. Bitching tends to raise peoples awareness, so in the simple fact of raising our voice and talking about the problem, you are instigating change.

Both raise public awareness and at least get the fact that there is a problem out. The difference is moot, whether you have an intelligent conversation or just a shouting match over the issue, its still getting airtime. Shouting matches usually lead nowhere though...
 
I see your point, but the fact still remains that bitching, which can be viewed as a negative thing, draws negative attention to the issue. I don't know about you, but when I'm trying to solve a problem, the last thing I want to do is put someones back against the wall with negativity. I totally agree with you about raising awareness, but do it in a constructive manner.
