Iran successfuly enriches uranium

Ok, were did you hear that Iran is going to make a bomb? The only thing that I have heard is that they want to use nuclear energy to help with electricity. Critics say that nuclear power has a good and evil power.The evil is more seducing.

You people seriously should start to trust. The american government has a good reputation of basing decisions on paranoia and not on facts.

I say that they refused the offer was refused because its going to cost them money they don't want to spend.Or, they just want the pride of creating enriched uranium.

Everyone should just chill out, fear bring out the violence in us.
 
I love how you say America is paranoid and then you go and theorize as to why Iran refused the offer. The offer would not have cost Iran a dime. Russia was willing to go in there and full assist them. What is even more asinine, and quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever read, is when you said "they just want the pride of creating enriched uranium." Been reading the Tehran Times? Are you truly dumb enough to believe that the world's most oil rich country needs nuclear power to turn on a f-in lightbulb?

Oh and you were soooooo right about America being paranoid about Iran. I mean really why should anyone worry when Iran's president Ahmadinejad says something like this: "Like it or not, the Zionist regime is heading toward annihilation. The Zionist regime is a rotten, dried tree that will be eliminated by one storm."

Yes America is "paranoid" about Iran as well is the EU, Russia, The UN, and just about every other logical person alive.
 
No one has mentioned the fact that many of Americas top doctors, scientists, and researchers are Iranian.

Iran's population is highly educated and very, very wealthy.

Im not surprised many of you are unaware of this, it's hard to notice.

But it's true.

Iran has a world renowned University system, and has many top minds working around the world.

Im not so worried about them, maybe their leader says some whack things, but theyre population has global influence and wants stable relations.

I think itll be fine.

So it doesn't seem to bother you that they're highly underdeveloped, still largely theocratic, sport a highly inefficient centrally planned economy with high inflation and unemployment, have a thin and insufficient infrastructure, and hold compulsory military service fiercely? Or is it that most of the real intellectuals from that country work elsewhere, and that their economy is a gross underachiever to their potential?

I seem to find that a bit easier to notice.
 
of course we are going to invade, we invaded iraq when we werent even sure if they had... we KNOW iran does... why wouldnt bush charge ahead on his crusade?

the thing is that the iran president wants a world fucked up shit with iran, I jsut red a magasine about it, and if US fucks with iran they fuck with a lot of people and the iran president will be liked from the whole iranians cause now he's not supported by the whole population.
 
ive read fairly objective papers that estimate casualties anywhere from 20 to 50 million, but i believe most supporting the latter included the prelude (the spanish civil war, the bouts in ethiopia, etc)
 
that pretty much gave away canadas gameplan. i suppose countries like canada and sweden are out of their minds, worrying about pointless domestic issues. were so busy worrying about education, poverty levels and making ethanol fuels, that we arent involved in stopping some country from producing an environmentally friendly, economically feasible energy source.

theres another thread where americans are asked who they would like to bomb next. those are the people we need to watch out for, the ones who have these nuclear weapons.

and how can you have such a hot political topic based mostly on rumours and possibilities? its just as likely bush hears god's voice in the back of his head (or donald rumsfelds) suggesting that he blow israel out of the water. (im not a fervent bush hater, i chose him because i hear about his religious fervour the most)

Nations should balance attention both inside and outside their borders. If you only look inwards, you're an isolationist and will be left in the dark as the rest of the world passes you. If you only look outward, you will neglect you own people and will soon not have much of a country. You can't just have one or the other. This is not a yes or no question. If you think it is, I dare say you thinking is a few centauries late.

And no, the people in that other thread are not who we need to "worry" about. They don't have the political power to choose who we "bomb next." They pick the people who decide for them, thats how the system works.

Seriously, lighten up. What I wrote was a very simplistic example what is precisely happening...and it was mostly for the purpose of humor. If you go so far as to take jokes seriously, I'd say you need to reevaluate yourself.

So, Iran has enriched uranium, and the U.N. is flipping out. Why? Yes, there is a possibility that they are making weapons, but they would have to be retarded to use them. We have a shitload more than anyone else, so if the idea of mutually assured distruction worked in the Cold War for 30 years then it should still work now. Besides, who are we to tell them that they can't make nuclear powerplants or weapons? No one stopped us in the 40's, and we should be more focused on diplomatic negotiations so it doesn't escalate to war. There have been talks in the U.N about either sending in U.S troops, or a pre-emptive nuclear strike! What the hell!? Has the idea of diplomacy been completely forgotten! We dont have to attack EVERYONE in the Middle East! We've already got soilders in South Korea, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kuwait,and Iraq! Theres hardly any soilders left in America! The government is so desperate for soilders that I have personally recived a letter from both the Marines and the National Guard, in that order, both addressed "Dear High School Junior"... I'm only in 10th grade, and they are already trying to get me to join up. They could at least waited until I'm actually a junior so i can properally tell them to fuck themselves. Its funny in the letters, they never mention being sent to a desert country for 18 months away from those you love, or about getting shot. Nor do they mention that you have to kill people THAT YOU DONT EVEN KNOW!! I, personally, could never kill someone unless they had done harm to me or someone I loved. Now, some of you are thinking that they're fighting for their country out there. What did Iraq do to make us attack them? Yes Saddam was a bad person, yes he committed genocide. But if those were our reasons for going in we should have finished in 91, we should have been able to wait for the U.N decision, and WE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THE ONLY ONES THERE!! Yes, other countries are there now, Canada, England, Austrailia, but we made the first strike, we spilled the first blood. If Iraq and America were people, America would be the one in jail for assualt, Iraq could claim self defense. Iraq didn't highjack those planes four years ago, terrorists did. Terrorists connected to Al Qaeda, to Osama bin Laden. Saddam had nothing to do with it. He didn't even have the WMD's Bush gave as a reason for invasion. And know our soilders are being killed every day because of suicide bombers. Nobody even talks about bin Laden anymore, its all Iraq. Bin Laden is much more of a threat to the U.S than Saddam was. Bin Laden is the leader of a massive terrorist group that has attacked the U.S multiple times, Saddam is the leader of a small, third world country whose only real contact with the U.S is when we come in and start killing them. And some people will be pissed about everything I just said. If thats the case then please, send me an email with your reasons of supporting whatever it is you support that I just ranted about. At least it would tell me someone was reading this, maybe some idea I wrote stuck in someones brain, cause this is our future we're fucking with here, the kids in high school and right now are the ones who will have to deal with the end result of these wars. And personally, I dont want it to be a future where everyone hate America, where our armed forces are too thinly spread to protect the country. I don't want World War III, do you?

Iran has in no way, shape, or form threatened us. they are our allies. the only reason why they have been construed in a negative light is because they are muslim. their leaders are NOT extremists, they DO NOT harbor terrorists and send them into iraq. terrorists might get into the country, and might go from there to iraq, but there isn't much they can do about that. they have their own problems to worry about. the u.s. is one of the only countries that monitors who gets in and out with that kind of detail. as for politicians making those kind of statements, doesn't surprise me. the information given to them is a shy side short of propaganda. it's not used to help them make a more informed descision, it's to get them to agree with the plan our administration already has in mind.

if the iranians want nukes its because they feel threatened by israel. it would take them years to develop ICBM's which could threaten the north america, but they could very easily stick their nuke on top of a scud and threaten isreal, which has very dense concentrations of people making a nuke strike a big threat. another thing to note is that the people who run iran contrary to popular beleif arent insane and wont risk their country just to harm israel. these nukes are just bargining chips which they plan to use to get to play with the big world powers.
