wouldnt surprise me at all. batteries only last so long...every battery will die eventually, especially will poor charging routines. just look at how long cell phone batteries last now.

Yeah this does not surprise me at all... It's the same kind of battery as a laptop (li ion) isnt it? I have to get a new battery in my laptop every 6 months for it to keep a 3 hour charge, and that one's 200 every time. That's why I dont want an Ipod, I'd rather get replaceables...besides having to use a cord to plug your mp3 player into your computer sucks. Flash drive mp3 all the way.

I am really hard on them cause I use my laptop all the damn time, it runs down and charges up at least twice daily. Plus I need at least 3:30 battery. But since I have it with me all the time the flash mp3 works so well...If i really wanna change a song I just plug it in.

 
iv gone through 2 ipods couse of that battery shit but htey gave me a free new one each time cause i said it was a year & a half old but i bought it from a friend with the warrenty about a month before the battery died.

what did the whales ever do for us?
 
lithium ion batteries are alot better than the batteries they used to use for say camcorders. remember how they used to build up 'memory' the ions dont do that

you fools.. after a year of having your ipod you tell them that the audio port doesnt work or something is internally wrong with it and they send you a brand new one (do this before your 1year warrenty is up).. then enjoy your new ipod for another year.. by the time the battery wears out if this is really true ur gonna want a new one anyways.

go to the site! created by imac.. it's got a planner and mp3 storage..and some models hold up to 2000 songs...5GB..10GB...and 20GB models...they are expensive as hell! I would have bought one if I could afford it..

A_Custom...the ipod was not 'created by imac' it was made my Apple. They are available in up to 40gb now, and can hold wayyyyyyyyyyyy more than 2000 songs.
