Ipods are soooo gaaaaay

so i got a new ipod for christmas from my mother and i plug it into the compy put some music on it and plug it in the next day to put more songs on and it wont work and i tried all the usb ports on teh computer and wont charge or connect or anything. So i take it back today and they replace it and i get the new one out of the packaging and plug it in and the computer says the usb device malfunctioned and to unplug it and plug it in again, so i do this and it still doesnt do anything. and last year i bought one that didnt work either..... just thought i'd put that out there and kinda gettin rid o some of my frustration
 
i totally agree. heres some more reasons why they suck ass

1. they are designed so you need to buy accessories. they scratch/break easily, especially because of their scratch-inviting reflective covering, so a case is a good thing to buy, but 25 bucks for a piece of rubber? are you fucking kidding

2. you cant put music from another computer onto your ipod. maybe theres a way around this, but when I tried it, I had to delete all my current music before I could do it.

3. the wheel system is really dumb. touch control is the ultimate style over substance

4. they will break for no reason. I expected my ipod video I got for graduation to last 5 years. instead it lasted one. and I treated it very carefully.
 
I have had no trouble with my ipod and I bought a refurbished one over a year and half ago

When you talk about accessories, that is your choice.

I have only bought 2 things, a case (which protects your ipod so it doesnt get scratched) and an itrip.

You dont need to buy all that other crap, its all a scam, especially those stereo units. I just use my computer speakers or my stereo system speakers and hook them up with an audio cord and you can buy a lot of knock of stuff off ebay for dirt cheap, like chargers for a dollar.

I think your problem has to do with your computer and that is why it won't work.

But for other ipods, if you treat it good, it will do the favour in return.

I love the Sandisk e270 I got a year or two back.

I even hip checked it into a rock, cracking the screen, and they sent me a replacement for free. God bless them.

Nanos have 8GB flash memory max, Sansas now have up to 16GB flash and cost the same, lol.
 
i've had mine for 2 years, and it's still like brand new. I keep it in a steel case, which is nice because i drop it all the time but it doesn't matter.
 
i would assume its not my compy since my cousin came by a couple o minutes ago and plugged his in and it worked but mine wont work on the chord that came with it but sometimes works with my cousins chord... so i think apple needs to have a little higher standards in quality control
 
I've had my ipod mini since they came out and everything works great except the battery life is not the best, but for 3+ years usage
 
i've had mine for 4 years and it hasn't broken once, the battery still holds a decent charge as well, and i really dont take care of it that well

o well, just luck i guess
 
well for some reason my ipod doesnt work at all with the chord that was in the box but seems to work fine with the cable that was for my cousins but the cable that came with mine works with my cousins.. kinda messed down.... but it works now so i suppose i could take a couple "a"s out of gay
 
i totally agree with 1 and 2, but not 3 or 4

i have an iskin and it costed me 35 bucks. i just got a new comp, so i have to download my songs all over again

however,

i like the wheel system its nice

ive had my ipod vid for 2 years now and ive had no problems with it
 
i'm so fucking pissed right now, I just pluged my ipod in and itunes said that it couldn't find the library, so I had to select a previous one. I leave it to charge, come back and it fucking reset everything to what I had a month ago. I probably spent a good 5+ hours organizing all my music making sure the song names and artists were correct, and now I have to do it again. it's probably just ipod/apple/vista/itunes being gay and retarted. Ipods suck, I want a zune.
 
Change it so you have to manually add music. Then you can plug it into any computer with itunes and take their music, and not lose yours.
 
they may not be the strongest, i had a nano and it broke but i dident do anything to it, it kinda broke its self. But im not complaining cus i took it in and they replased it for free, that one lasted for 3 years with no real problems.! Well that pod got stolen so i just got another (nano video, and so far its pretty legit.) the only problem is whenever i plug it into the comp it wants me to fill out the register ipod thing, which i have to do every time. does anyone no how to stop this?
 
that is a very wise statement ... any-who ... i have had my nano for 3 years ad it stil works like a charm ... I am satisfied with it
 
i dunno man, for 150 bucks, having a nano is a pretty sick deal. toss a few vids on there for the roadies, store mad notes. cant beat it....

and you want to know whats really gay? texting via cell phones. if you both have phones, just fuckin call each other mang

Try putting it into manual mode instead of automatic sync and hey, what do you know? Get music from anybody's computer.

And here is my defense of iPods. People that scratch/break/complain about their ipods do one of the following

1) Too dumb to read directions, FAQ's, and look for info on how to fix the problem

2) Treat their ipod like shit....had mine for 2 years...hardly any scratches, works perfectly

3)Like to hate. So go buy a brown Zune ya haters.

 
What the fuck do you people do to your ipods to break them so much?  I have had a 2nd gen ipod for like 4 years and havent had a single problem.   
 
i still rock my 1st gen 20g ipod. It has been in a case since day 1. It is almost seven years old and still works pretty good. It gets tons of laughs cause its so big and bulky compared to the new ones. Only complaint i have now is the battery life is only a couple hours, so i just keep it in my car with its charger.

Mines horrible the battery only lasts about one song after charging for hours. Sometimes i can't even get a whole song. And a minute ago i tryed plugging it in to upload some new songs and the comp shut off instantly. gay
 
some scratch easy, but mine is a 30 gig video that i got about a year ago and its pretty much scratch free. I don't know...i love mine and i use it everyday. I would never buy a zune. Ipods got most of the bugs worked out of theres. Zune is only on its second generation and they kind of suck.
 
my bro bought a battery really cheap, 5 bucks off of ebay, and installed it himself, now the battery works better than when he bought it because of the advancement in technology. Just read up on some tutorials and get a cheap battery.
 
I love my sansa express. the battery last a long time and it has 3GB flash, about 400 songs and enough for skiing. plus it can be used a flash drive and runs through drag drop, not itunes or something similar.
 
you realize any mp3/mp4 that holds music can be used as a portable storage device, lol even for ipod, its called "windows key" "E".....and then just for the drive
 
what the hell are you talking about, the plot was terrible, and the twist and the end didn't make any sense, who killed johnny and what happened to bobby? to many unanswered questions.
 
i dont get why people care if they get scratched, mine is scratched up and I dont care how it looksss as long as its still working
