Are you able to use an ipod with windows mellinium edition?

i tried it says i need windows 2000 with service pack 4 or Windows XP proffessional or home edition.

I downloaded Service Pack 4 but when i try to install it stupid things come up and it won't install.

I-POD QUESTION...Can I go to another persons computer and download songs onto my i-pod, if they already have the softewear on their comp? Because someone told me that the softwear is serial code specific...

when you buy an ipod and downlaod songs fromy uor computer it designates that computer as 'home' everytime you connect it it auto syncs. when you move to nother computer it auto syncs with that loosing all your current songs and downloading theirs. likewise when you go back to yours it auto syncs again and you loose all your friends songs.

^Or you can disable automatic syncing and Select 'Manually Manage songs' and that problem won't happen.

To the question above, no, iTunes is not Serial specific, it will work on anyones computer.

PC's cannot read Mac formatted iPods, but Mac's can read PC formatted iPods.

And yes, you can use your ipod with Windows ME, but you have to use Musicmatch Jukebox, iTunes will not work on that OS, for obvious reasons. I was in the same situation, and I upgraded to XP so that I could use iTunes, its much easier.

yo you can take anyones songs manually and i dont think itunes works with millenium edition shit, check on apples site it will say it under system requirements
