how many of you have iPods? im getting one for my birthday and i was wondering if you guys liked them?

I've used one and it's really sweet. Audio techs say that Nomads have better sound quality (I use a JB3), but it's minimal if anything, and worth sacrificing slightly for size and ease of use. If you've got the cash, go for it for sure.

 
yeah ipod's are amazing. My sister has one and my neighbor just got one of the new ones for free when he bought a new mac. The new ones are so small. There amazing.

 
I have a 10-gig and they are soooo worth the money. They are so slick and have soo much room. The battery lasts for fuckin ever too, easily a whole day of riding.

 
yea i have one and they are pretty rad. Even though apparantly mac suck, since what that dude says applies to all mac products. But yea the ipod is worth the money. super reliable, tons of storage, and long ass battery

iPod's are sick as hell, I'd get the 15 or 30 GB models tho, a little bit more money, but the accessories you get with them are definitely worth it. The sound quality of any mp3 player depends on the bit rate of the songs, it really doesn't have anything to do with the physical player unless its a shitty flash-based mp3 player unlike the iPod.

 
senortetas, it has a lot to do with the hardware too. If the built in amp is shit, it will sound shit.

 
i just bought the 15 GB and it will be here on friday!!! now i need songs to put on it...ive got like 83 on my hard drive...any reccomendations?

ive got a 10 gig... it, and apple rocks!

as far as paying more to get the 15 with the extras i wouldnt bother, the dock is useless and that case is lame... much better to buy a rubber 3rd party case.

 
If you can get a good deal on a bigger capacity version, then you should definately go for it. I got my 20Gb JB3 thinking I'd only use about 5Gb maximum. But now I've got over 9Gb of mp3s, plus I back up videos to it.

I read that you can reformat the iPod's harddrive to either format (PC or Mac) if you have the right software.

iPod's are the best fucking MP3 players available. Period. I got one when they first came out (5 Gig), and then when I was in Whistler last year I found a 20 Gig in the Emerald Chair Lift line. Score one for the good guys.

Isn't it crazy to think how ipods were released in 2001 and how fucking far we have come with portable devices!? Ipods were revolutionary

No I'm not high but if you are this should blow your mind. Just sitting here browsing music on my phone and I was like damn. They really pushed it to a new level
 
iPods are still clutch as hell in 2020. Battery lasts forever and you cant even tell you're wearing it on the hill
