don't get an ipod. worst decision I ever made. They fall apart.

my ipod is nice, but you should get an ipod shuffle 1gb. they weigh nothing, and are easy to use, plus a bit cheaper. skiing with that thing in my pocket is kinda annoying

don't listen to the kid that said don't get one...Ive had one and ive dropped it, had it break into two peices, i simply put two and two together and it clipped right back together and worked perfectly...then one time i dropped it in the rain and it hit my foot and i kicked it and it spun face down going through puddles for about 35 ft..>And still no damage to the IPOD....i can't break mine..so i would suggest getting one..

 
dont buy a zen they blow my friend has one. first of all its huge and second its just not as nice as an ipod. I've taken slams on rails with it in my pocket and no damage ever happened

the shuffles are alright....but lets say ur on song 5 on ur selection...and u wanna go to song 65....then u have to scroll through 60 songs ot get to it....

my ipod has taken alot of beatings from me falling on it or dropping it and its fine. once you get used to it in your pocket you hardly notice it.

 
Ipods are clearly the best decesion...but if you are gonna opt for something else, deifnitely go with the iRiver. It has a color screen and is the same price, that thing is nice. And if you are gettin an ipod only get a 3rd or 4th gen..the first 2 battery lifes sucks.

i wou ld say get an ipod ive had one for a while and still working good and its felll out of my pocket into the snow and has droped on cement and stuff and still works fine

good idea to get one
