ipod vs iriver

i was just wondering if anyone has suggestions on which one is better and which one i should get? i went to the store to get an ipod and then the guy tried to sell me the iriver saying it was a lot better. any thoughts?

the iriver is way better. I have one it runs super smooth. For starters it is cheaper. I think retail is $300 for a 20gb but i got mine for $250. The iriver is also way more durable than an ipod. It also comes with a microphone and a FM tuner. The battery life is also like 5 times longer than the ipods. Get an Iriver.

Go with the Iriver unless you're a 40 year old mom who can't work a computer. MAC's are only good for bringing the world of computing to a less-than-computer-savvy batch of people. That and they're much easier to use for multimedia productions. But yeah, the Iriver is a great piece of equipment whether you get the IHP-120 or the 140. The only difference is memory. Basically, you're getting a better, easier to use, more efficient version of that Ipod whose only bad characteristic is the fact that's it's slightly bigger than an ipod.

HAHA you're so right. I mean, why should your computer work for you?! I definitely agree that everyone should have to conform to what their computer whats them to do, while at the same time not being able to rely on it at all. Who the fuck would ever want a computer that is super stable, plus so much easier to use when I can just go to Wal-Mart and buy a 'Value-PC' for $399? Windows all the way man, Windows all the fucking way!

Oh yeah, and even if you like MAC computers better, Iriver is still better than the Ipod in my opinion, just an all-around better player. Iriver's mp3 players are SUPPOSED to work fine with MAC's, i think, but from what i've heard it's not true.

Haha if by biased you mean I know what works and what doesn't work, then yah I guess I'm biased. I only use both extensively on an everyday basis, but what the fuck do I know?!

 
macs are only good for editing and other apps like that. The ipod has nothing to do with if you like apple or not. My friend was retarded and bought the Nomad Zen and now he wants an Ipod cause the zen is huge and it broke 4 times.

ipods are the shit

my 5gb has been kicking since day one, i just sold it to get a 3rd gen 10gb which im sure i will have for a maddddddd long time.

A friend of mine has an iHP-120 and personally I much prefer it to the iPod. The only thing he doesn't like about it was the remote didn't work at first (think he got a replacement one now though), and the shuffle mode wasn't in a distinct random order each time (this will probably be fixed in firmware or already has been).

I have a Zen Xtra though that is awesome too. Just go with whatever you can get a good deal on out of the three.
