IPod Video

i'm thinking of picking one up. i put a little bit of cash down at my friendly neighbourhood mac dealer and it's another week or so until they get the new iPods in, however i'm sceptical on weather i should get a first generation Video. For example the nano's had glitches when they first came out, and there were many screen failiures. so should i blow the $500 on the 60Gb right away or perhaps wait a bit? any suggestions.

Think about being able to upload all your footage into it... airplanes, you can watch your footage at anytime and you never know whos sittin right next to you who thinks its cool and offers you a job somewhere... nevaaa know

I noticed sony has a nice MP3 player 20gigs with 40 hrs of play on charged up battery. Ipod only has 14 hrs. The sony batter can also be popped right out of the player...can a IPOD battery be popped out?

only bad part about the video is if your watching videos its only 2 hours of battery life, the 15 hours is for music only, so i think its a rip
