Ipod Video or Nano

anybody have one/the other/both? I'm buying a new iPod in the next week or so and can't decide which one. Is the super-small size of the nano worth it to not have video and a lot of memory?

 
go for the video, then you can load ski movies on it and then when you are bored in class you have something to do
 
i've got the video, you have no clue how cool it is to be able to whip out Office Space in the middle of class

i also have war and session 1242
 
exactly!! that and ski movies. i have 62 movies on my ipod. ski movies real movies dave chappelle south park. get the video.
 
i have the 1gb nano and it works fine. its perfect for skating and skiing. it really depends on what your going for...
 
I have the video because i'm a video freak, and i liek watchign family guy as much as possible, and if you work out, or do cardio in the guym its great cause you can watch familyguy and shit. and well you can put porn on it too, and i mean what guy doesnt want mobile porn, i know i do, and i also do... haha but yah if you wanna cheep out for a few songs get the nano, but if you want videos, and a shit load of music get the video.
 
i have a friend who bought a picture ipod for 300 bucks right before the video came out, literally a few days, he wrote some hate mail to apple, i lauhghed
 
Wait until after Apple's 30th anniversary announcement and get the new video iPod with the big touch screen. You'll kick yourself if you don't wait.

I'd be all over the video... If I can have enough money to spare later on I'm gonna pick one up. Having SKI movies and songs at your fingertips has to be amazing
 
first off you people dont know how to look at an electronic.

lets see:

nano 2gb, $200... thats $100/GB

nano 4gb, $250... thats $62.50/GB

video 30gb, $300... $10/GB

video 60gb, $400... $6.67/GB

so you look at the numbers, and see the nano is just a ripoff for apple to make 10 times the money for the same product with less features. also compare these numbers to the portable 1GB drives for data. you get soo much more with the video's its redunk
 
what? did u even read my post about the $ and GB facts? i said video is 10x cheaper.

im stating that you can make a nano play videos
 
i DID have the nano.. deffinately worth the money to get one, but make sure you get a plastic hard case.. breaking one sucks
 
are you kidding me? do you not know anything about electronics or how to buy stufF by looking at statistics?

so your saying its definatly worth paying $100 for a gig of data space? when you can buy the video and get a gig of data space for $10. thats 10 times cheaper, seems to me ur dumb/ anyone is dumb for buying a nano.

woah chill out.. yeah i looked at statistics, but i didn't buy it, i didn't even have a say of what i wanted.. it was given to me.
 
it was my best friends mom, she works in media so she gets all this stuff free, she didn't know much about ipods nor cared, she just bought them.. but i have no complaints against my ipod, other than the fact that it broke.. but okay
 
haha yeah cuz the nano is TOOO small, if there is such a thing. when i was holding it i felt like it was about to snap with pressure. they need to make it outta like a steel case or soemthing
 
the plastic cases seem to hold up really well, i liked the nano because it was so small, i just stuck it in my jacket and didn't know it was there, but i had a rubber case, so im sure that didn't help it when i fell
 
my friend converted his ipod nano so he could play video with it the quality is good its small put good he told me he use something like ipod linux somehting like that
 
I read some article somewhere how they ran over an iPod nano with a car, dropped it from a roof, etc, and it held up like a champ. I'd post the the link but i can't find it.
