IPOD trouble

my ipod, as of late, has begun to play only though the left headphone. i know it's the ipod, i've tried like twelve pairs of headphones on this bitch. is there anything i can do to fix it? or should i just scrap this piece? also, i'm pretty sure i can do something to my itunes which enables me to take my music from this ipod and load it to my itunes on my computer. if anyone knows anything about how to either fix my ipod or trick out my itunes please post here. thanks.
 
To get music from your ipod to your computer download Senuti.. (itunes backwards).its free and Its very easy to use. u should be able to figure it out.
 
yeah i was planning on doing that. it's just that a ton of the music that i have on my ipod is from lots of other computers to which i don't really have access anymore. basically, i just want to make sure i have all of my music accounted for. i'm about to try that senuti thing right now.
 
search google for ipod rippers or something, there are a bunch of programs that allow you to transfer your music from your ipod to your comp. if you still cant find one pm me.
 
What you need is Sharepod, google that shit. Free to use and just rips everything from your iPod onto your computer.

u dont need any programs

all u gotta do is go to ur ipod in disk mode and go to ipod control and just copy the folder to ur computer then add it to itunes

As far as fixing the stereo, there are three things that it could be:

1. Software glitch - Back up everything on your computer and do a hard reset (I forget how but it should be easy to find online.) This resets your iPod to the way it was the day it came out of the box.

2. Bad headphone jack - iPods are pretty easy to get open (I've replaced my hard drive and battery.) You may be able to find a new jack on eBay and replace it yourself (this would probably involve soldering.)

3. Bad circuit board - This is the most serious thing it could be, and I'm not sure if it could be fixed/replaced.
 
to get your music off is fairy simple. connect your ipod to your computer. go into my computer and find the drive its on. double click on the ipod. now you need to enable hidden folders. thats in tools, folder options and then go to the view tab and check the box that says show hidden files and folders. then find the hidden folders on your ipod. i dont remember where they were but it should only take a few seconds to find them.

you have no idea how lucky you are. im literally in the apple store writing on one of their computers right now as they fix my i pod for the exact same problem. they need to replace the head phone thing. it will cost you 50 bucks but its worth it. good luck, just take it to any apple store. but if you have the extended warranty or any warranty that is still in place they will try to send it back to like apple headquarters lawlz and have thme replace it for free
 
dude no way, my iPod just started playing music only through the left earphone too. We must be destined to meet and do great things together. foserious.
 
as for the music shit, i asked them for the same thing so i can put it on my laptop, email it but it wil be really slow, use a fire wire, flashdrive, or go to senuti " [i tunes backwards] and it will have a free program designated just for that. dude me and you are in the exact same boat for all of this, hope it works out for you bro and hope it helped. peace
