whats the best way to transfer all of my songs on my ipod to a new computer, and if i just plugged in my ipod to the new computer would it delete all the songs off my ipod? i dont feel like puttin 400 songs on my new computer it will take forever

wow there was one good response, why is it that everytime you ask a question on this site you get a bunch of bullshit responses, i posted this because i want help and a legit answer not to hear a bunch of people arguing or responding to get another post, so i'll look into the copypod thing any other helpful responses?

yea, i did it...it deleates all the old songs on ur ipod and puts on the new ones

go into the harddrive of the computer and highlight your music and drop it in your ipod

it will be stored in there but not as mp4 files

go with the flow
 
you can't transfer songs from your ipod to your computer. there is something called like.. a rio... something... that they advertise it as one of the few mp3 players that can transfer back to your computer. i pod doesn't do it so you can't share songs with your friends.

I downloaded something called Podutil, and you can copy all the music from an ipod to computer without deleting anything off the ipod. It's not really that hard guys, just do a bit of research.

 
ended up just puttin all my files on my ipod and transfered them that worked well

after you plug your ipod in to your new computer go to my computer and click removable drive. then click tools and folder options. under the view tab click show hidden files and folders. then all your music files will show up. the only bad thing is that the music isnt really organized.

 
just make sure u can see hidden folders (control panel -> folder options -> select the view tab,-> select 'view hidden files and folders')

then plugin your iPod, select form my computer (like removable disk E: or something) then click on the 'ipod control' folder. then you con open those folders, mine were called like 'F02', F00 and stuff, then drag the songs to your music folder on your comp. i dunno if that works for ipods, but it workd for my shuffle??

while we're on the subject of ipods, mine won't put songs from my computer onto it for some reason. when i plug it into the computer it starts acting like it's charging. it did this before and my roomate did something wierd to fix it that i can't remember. anyone know?

I just sent my ipod away to get warrantied...I still got 3 years to go before my origional warranty wears out...only cots me 75 bucks. I'm guessing that I'll go through about 7

skitheburg your ipod could be set on manual, go to preferences and change it to automatically load songs
