IPod Touch... Worth it??

So my zune has broken 2 times and i just got a brand new one from warranty, and im ready to leave microsoft due to this and my xbox 360 breaking 4 times in 2 months. I was just wondering what you all think

I dont need 80GB of space 8GB IS PLENTY, I love the Wi-Fi because i have some mad boring classes and youtube sounds amazing in them. Also i love the interface its mad good IMO. My dad thinks i should wait till Xmas for sales , and if they come out with a new one or anything.

I just wanted to see your thoughts on this.

P.S. - Dont suggest iPhone because i hate using phones and the reception up here is next to none.

go for it. i have a 16gb one with the 2.0 software. its sick cuase i dont have to keep hacking it when it slows down. that was so annoying...
 
i have the touch it is NASTY.

i love the new apps that are available at the itunes store. there is a ton of free games that u can download 4 free. the only negative that i have on it is the battery life but what can u expect from sumthing as thin as a nano that browses the web,plays music and videos and touch based games.
 
i don't have an ipod touch but my friends do and they are sick i have only heard good things from them and if i had a bunch of money laying around i would get one
 
true. but the touches screen is 6x as big, can play games,surf the web and i talked to a mod and he said in the future there will be an NS app!
 
Yeah a nano isnt in the question cuz how the hell can you watch a movie on one of those, Id lose my vision in a day. And i have heard battery life is bad but if it can last for 6-8hrs thatd be clutch. Thanks for all the good feedback im pretty close to ordering one
 
i have a friend who pretends that his ipod touch is an iphone.

it's hilarious

he pretend to text and has fake conversations.

got lost in boston one day pulled over got into someone's wifi typed in where i needed to go and full directions pulled right up. great buy defiantly worth the money

haha i had the same thing happen to me, excpet i was downtown looking for a restaurant and i hoped on a starbucks wireless connection and voila

you can get eh 16gb on craigslist for under $300 , pick it up
 
First. Why is this in gear talk?

Second. Apple products never go on sale...ever.

Third. get the 16 or even the 32 gig. You might think 8 is enough but when you start putting movies and tv shows on it. The drive fills up very quickly.

 
THanks and i put it in hear cuz hey i mean alot of people listen to music while they ski so i consider it as 'gear' and also where would it go if not hear,

And i noticed the sale thing just dad insists it mightt

And third i had a zune 80 and for like 7 months only got around 5 or 6 GB on it i dont even know 1750 songs for a 8gb or w.e but ive thought about 16 for movies and such if i choose to put more on it . thanks for opinion
 
I have an 8 gig and its awesome..I like it better than any other ipod because of the screen size and wi-fi.It sucks because I bought mine when they first came out because I bought an 8 gig for $300 but now you can buy a 16gig for $300...I dont think the prices will go down more though.
 
Im pretty sure its 300 for a 8gb still and like 390 for a 16gb if u could link me to a 300 16gb id appreciate it sooo much
 
i'd love to actually get one of these but i doubt i would unless i got the iPhone

anyone know a way to get it for Verizon?
 
get, the nano. the battery life on my nano is absolutely ridiculous and ive had mine for a year or whenever the last gen came out. i use it 5+ hours a day at work and charge it every week or two. you dont have to worry about scratching the screen, dropping it/falling on it because its small and rugged. i love mine. plus its cheap.
