Ipod touch question

so there's some type of water on my screen because whenever i move my hand around on it i feel like i'm pushing water everywhere. i tried cleaning it off multiple ways but it won't go away, it stays and i keep pushing it around on the surface of the screen. it makes everything sticky and is a huge pain in the ass and i'd really like it to go away so if anyone knows how to get rid of it karma will be given. i let it sit face up for the whole day and nothing evaporated or anything and i've tried putting cloth on it to absorb but nothing will get the thin layer of water off it
when i press really hard with the cloth and move it back and forth it makes a squeaking noise so the screen is really sticky and clearly covered with water
help is greatly appreciated, this is annoying and it's not humid or hot so there's no type of condensation or something and i never used it with wet/dirty hands or anywhere where it could've gotten wet

so your saying the substance is sticky enough to not evaporate, if you have a lens cleaning solution like you would use for glasses, in my case photography lenses that usually gets any stickness off. What happens if you dampen a cloth a in circular motions rub the screen? sounds very unusual and for mine to go this way im sure in your position i would be freaking out so ill do my best to help you.

well its not sticky its just it won't go away, it just feels slightly wet and moves all over the screen no matter what i do and where i push it, its fucking annoying, its still under warrantee but i'd like to get rid of it, and no, i'm away so i don't have any cleaning stuff

there should be an indicator of water right where the headphone jack and usb port are that have words if the ipod got wet, did this happen in your case?

i dunno what it looks like when it's busted but it just looks white. it wasn't exposed to water, it just feels like there's a slight residue on the screen, it's only when i put my thumb flat on it and move it around

so its on the outside of the screen? not under a screen protector?. it thats the case its probably just the oils on you fingers making the screen greasy. my itouch's screen always gets an oily feel from the oils in my hands. i just wipe it off with a small bit of windex on a paper towel. not to much to seep into the cracks though.

problem was solved a while back haha, he said it just eventually came off. Once he took took the case off he was able to solve his problem.
