Ipod touch help

Anyone know how to get the contacts/calendar events backed up on my ipod?

I love putting all my shit on it but i need to be able to have a backed up copy when im jailbreaking it and shit just incase it all gets erased.

Any help?
 
DOn't know for sure cuz I don't use either on mine. But can't you just synch your contacts and calander to the addressbook and ical on the mac. If so that pretty much is the equivalent to backing it up right?
 
yeah it should enter everything into your computer when you sync your ipod, so all you have to do is sync your calendars on your computer to your ipod if it crashes
 
no, and sorry to thread jack but

does anyone know why the time and date always changes when i sync my touch? its really annoying to reset it everytime
 
umm no but mine did that too, til it broke... i need ipod touch help, badly

just throwing a 3, i landed on dirt and flipped over myself and my skullcrushers got ripped off my head, and brought my touch with them, when i finally stopped i found my ipod about 100 feet to the side of where i landed, still playing music... i also broke my thumb... atleast it was the second to last day, and i only went one day without tunes... this season im getting a shuffle for skiing, and paying to get my touch fixed, to keep for school, home, car rides, and whatever else
 
UPDATE:

If you add stuff to your contacts or calendar on your ipod, it will add it to the computer versions (Outlook for me) automatically. Pretty handy...I might finally use outlook :P
