Ipod ski playlist

i'm not sure if anyone else does this, but personally i did this myself and i thought i'd share with all of you ns'ers..

so on my ipod, i usually just get a lot of music, and just add it to my ipod.. like entire discographies. but, its impossible to create a playlist on your ipod while you're listening to it (unless you use the on-the-go thing.. but once you plug that into your computer you pretty much have to start a new one.. and then you end up with like 20 on the go playlists). anyways, my solution is that while listening to a song, if i'd like to add it to my ski playlist, i rate it 3 stars, and then since i have a smart playlist that automatically adds songs that are 3 stars, i have a on-the-fly ski playlist that is very legit.

spark notes: 1) create a smart playlist on ipod. 2) rate songs that you like to the number of stars in your smart playlist. 3) have live updating playlist(s), and fun

i just take every song that i would ever want to ski to, and throw it in a playlist called "Ski Music". hence why its an absurdly huge playlist. then i throw that shit on shuffle when i get to the mountain and viola

all my ski music comes from ski videos. when i hear those songs i visualize the section the song would be playing to and it pumps me up

95% of mine are then like 3% snowboarding vids, because those are dope too. and then like 2% other good shit.

I straight up hand pick my 200+ song playlist for my shuffle, probably change it 3-4 times a season depending on how much music I get. It's mostly upbeat hip hop, rock and punk. But nothing slow unless I love the song.

you could just look through itunes and add all the songs you like for skiing to one playlist called "ski playlist"

but i guess that would make too much sense hunh?

no, thats not what i'm saying..

i'm just saying this is easier, so you can add/delete songs from your ski playlist straight from your ipod, no computer required.

how many times while skiing do you have a computer with you to add or delete a song from your playlist? never

i just shared this because i think its extremely convenient.
