Ipod shuffle or zen stone

yeah, i just dont like the fact that there is no screen, and the zen stone apparently is seen by itunes
 
i thought it would bother me a lot too. but its really not that bad. just organize it so it goes by alphabetical order and when you want a song just shuffle until you get somewhere near it then turn it to list mode and go.

plus there industructable they must have a little tiny piece of jesus living in everyone ive put mine through the wash and ski with it on my goggle strap everyday and it works fine
 
yeah, the no screen isn't bad at all. I have about 50 songs on mine (don't need more than that). When you want a certain song just shuffle to an artist near the one you want (alphabetically), and turn off the shuffle and just go up or down the the song. But I rarely ever do that because its always on shuffle.
 
the only thing im worried about is the space, but i think 1 gig is enough for a day of skiing lol
 
1gig is barely

go with the zen, i personally hate apple because their battery replacement charges are like 60-100 bucks
 
yeah, the zen is supposed to have 20 hours of battery per charge, and some sites are saying its recognized by itunes
 
yeah well youd mainly be using it for skiing right? cause when i ski theres lots of songs that i hate to ski too. and i rarely have more than 30-40 songs on it when im skiing.

and the battery is 12 hours thats quite a bit. plently for a day of skiing, mine will usually stay charged the whole weekend
 
ended up going with the shuffle, thanks for all the help guys

one more question, does it fall off your goggle strap a lot if you clip it there? and where do you put the headphone wires
 
i love my shuffle

and i can find the song i want because i know the song list, and new songs appear at the end - so if i want to listen to what i just DLed i just press back

oh and quick thing not many ppl know - If you press the play button 3 times quick it takes you to the start of your list - now oyu know!

But yea hope whatever you pick you enjoy it! oh and mines also purple which is just sweet
