Ipod question

alright i have a mini and am looking to get a video ipod from a friend. if i get it it would stillo have his stuff on it and not mine so i was wondering would his stuff disapear from the ipod if i plugged it into my computer through itunes and would my music get on there?

also if i do get it how much do like ski movies and stuff cost and do you have to get a special program to put them on there?

plug his ipod onto his computer, go to ipod, setting, and there something about automatic or manual update, put it on manual and it wont delete it aoutmatically
 
but i dont want his songs. and i want mine to be on there without his on there.

i guess im not understandin what your sayin
 
Yeah there is a way in itunes to reformat the drive on the ipod, it will clear all the songs off and restore it to the original settings.
 
yes, then use the searchbar and find out how to format the videos for ipod.. i honestly see like 100 per day
