My iPod is full and am looking for a new one (the 30 gig). I was wondering how I back up my songs, so I can transfer them to the new iPod with ease. Please respond because I might have a cheap discount lined up. Thank you.

if u are asking how to get the files off your ipod u search on google for a program called ipodutil and that'll do the trick

you cant transfer them with itunes. go give it a try. once they are on the ipod they are on it for good without one of the many utilities. but be carfeful which one you get, cause i had my 40 gig full. and my computer crashed so when it was fixed it had no music so i found i think it was ephpod...it deleted half of my music and it takes it straight off your ipod completely. so i lost 20 gigs worth of music and had to reaload the 20 i had left. but yeah try the one someone else mentioned.

yeah, your music is still backed up on your computer so just plug your new ipod in, and choose what songs/playlists you want and update it

you can transfer songs from ipod to computer pretty easily actually. go into the folder options in windows and make sure "show hidden files and folders" is checked, and then go to my computer, double click on the icon for your ipod, and a bunch of folders, with all your music, will be there. drag and drop them to wherever you want to store them.
