is it possible to take songs from a computer with I tunes that my ipod has not been formatted for. everytime i try my ipod just deletes. anybody has any advice that would be great.

Im RICK JAMES bitch

if you are trying to take songs from someone elses itunes library it will erase all the songs you had on your ipod and put theirs on it. you can try going to preferences and selecting "update checked songs only" and then select the ones you want. i dont know though, because ive never actually tried

"i'll nosepress your box if you lipslide my rail"

im too scared to try. its a bitch updating my like 5000 + songs back on

okayplayer. giving you true notes since 1987

I've got one

why the hell is my itunes not showing the left side of the screen anymore, I tried playing with the margarines and shit, it just doesn't work

everytime I open it, it just goes to a big list of all of my songs, and I can't go to that side thing that shows your playlists and library and music store

do you have windows or mac. because i have mac so i dont know if windows works the same

"i'll nosepress your box if you lipslide my rail"

when the person signs up for itunes they click somethign to make it automatic update or manually do it and they prob clicked automatic

you can do it. If you're trying to upload songs off you're friends computer, you have to first switch it to manual update, before you plug your iPod in, then you can put on the songs you want without deleting yours. But then you have to put your iTunes on manual forever, so it doesn't automatically delete his songs, which is a pain in the ass. It's better to just have him burn a cd, then rip it to your computer

yes there is. THeres a program called copy pod that extracts the songs from your ipod and puts it in your itunes. SO you could take his songs use copypod and then update yours and his back onto yours.

what i do is i got a usb then put it in the computer i want to take music from put it on, put in my computer put the songs in the i tunes part of my music then go to itunes and go file add folder and find it and add it

To get the songs off the ipod onto another computer, you have to plug it in, go into my computer, go into the Ipod folder (the one for your txt documents and such, go to the top bar thing, go to Tools, then Folder options, Click the veiw tab, check the DO show hidden files and folders, and then you should see a folder called control or something, browse through that and your music is in there, in like 80 different folders. Make sure you dont delete anything though.

whoever said to click the button that says update checked songs early, dont do that. that erases all the unchecked songs from you ipod

thew answer is YES

what you do is drag the songs onto the hardrive through my computer. then take them off at your computer. put thm into itunes. and if you wanna get songs off your ipod go to ipod in my computer, and make shure you can veiw all hidden folders. theres a folder called ipod control and inside are all your songs, in a bunch of different folders
